വെള്ളപ്പൊക്കവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് സോഷ്യല്‍ മീഡിയ വഴി വ്യാജ പ്രചാരണം നടത്തിയവര്‍ക്കെതിരെ കേസെടുത്തു.വ്യാജ പ്രചരണം സംബന്ധിച്ച് സോഷ്യല്‍ മീഡിയ വഴി പ്രചരിച്ച പോസ്റ്റുകളെ സംബന്ധിച്ച് സൈബര്‍ ഡോം നല്‍കിയ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലാണ് കേസ്.
ഐ.ജി മനോജ് എബ്രഹാമിന്റെ നിര്‍ദ്ദേശപ്രകാരമാണ് മ്യൂസിയം പൊലീസ് കേസ് രജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്തത്. മുല്ലപ്പെരിയാര്‍ ഡാം പൊട്ടിയെന്ന തുള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ള പ്രചാരണം നടത്തിയവര്‍ക്കെതിരെയാണ് കേസ്. ജാമ്യമില്ലാത്ത വകുപ്പ് പ്രകാരമാണ് കേസെടുത്തതെന്നും ഇവര്‍ക്കെതിരെ ശക്തമായ നടപടി സ്വീകരിക്കുമെന്നും ഐ. ജി അറിയിച്ചു. ഭീതിപരത്തുന്ന രീതിയില്‍ യുടൂബ് വഴി പ്രചരിപ്പിച്ച വീഡിയോകളും ഫെയ്‌സ് ബുക്ക് പോസ്റ്റുകളും സൈബര്‍ ഡോം നീക്കംചെയ്തു.

വാഹനാപകടങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാമത് എറണാകുളം; മരണത്തിൽ തിരുവനന്തപുരവും
റോഡുകളില്‍ ദിവസം ശരാശരി 11 പേരുടെ ജീവനാണ് പൊലിയുന്നത്
വാഹനാപകടങ്ങളില്‍ മുന്നില്‍ എറണാകുളവും മരണത്തില്‍ തിരുവനന്തപുരവുമാണ് ഒന്നാമത്. സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് എട്ടുമാസത്തിനിടെ 25,628 വാഹനാപകടങ്ങളില്‍ 2632 പേര്‍ മരിച്ചെന്ന് പോലീസിന്റെ കണക്ക്. റോഡുകളില്‍ ദിവസം ശരാശരി 11 പേരുടെ ജീവനാണ് പൊലിയുന്നത്. വാഹനാപകടങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണത്തില്‍ മെട്രോ നഗരമായ കൊച്ചിയാണ് മുന്നില്‍. മരണത്തില്‍ തിരുവനന്തപുരവും.
എട്ടുമാസത്തിനുള്ളില്‍ എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയില്‍ 3707 അപകടങ്ങളാണുണ്ടായത്.
1448 എണ്ണം സിറ്റിയിലും 2259 എണ്ണം റൂറലിലും. രണ്ടിലുമായി 292 പേര്‍ മരിച്ചു. തിരുവനന്തപുരം സിറ്റിയില്‍ 123 റൂറലില്‍ 213 എന്നിങ്ങനെ ആകെ 336 പേരാണ് ജില്ലയില്‍ വാഹനാപകടങ്ങളില്‍ മരിച്ചത്. ഇവിടെ 3664 അപകടങ്ങള്‍ നടന്നു. അപകടങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണത്തില്‍ രണ്ടാംസ്ഥാനത്താണ് തിരുവനന്തപുരം.
അപകടങ്ങള്‍ വരുത്തുന്നതില്‍ ഇരുചക്രവാഹനങ്ങളും സ്വകാര്യ ബസുകളുമാണ് മുന്നില്‍.
പത്തുവര്‍ഷത്തിനിടെ 55,217 സ്വകാര്യ ബസുകളുണ്ടാക്കിയ അപകടങ്ങളില്‍ 7293 പേര്‍ മരിച്ചു. മത്സരയോട്ടമാണ് പ്രധാനമായും അപകടങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് കാരണം. കെ.എസ്.ആര്‍.ടി.സി. ബസുകളും ഒട്ടും പിന്നിലല്ല. 15,226 അപകടങ്ങളില്‍ 2635 പേരാണ് മരിച്ചത്.
അശ്രദ്ധമായി വാഹനം ഓടിക്കുന്നവരുടെ എണ്ണവും കൂടുകയാണെന്ന് ഡ്രൈവര്‍മാര്‍ക്കെതിരേ നടപടിയെടുത്ത കണക്കുകളിലെ വര്‍ധന സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. വാഹനാപകടങ്ങളും മരണവും കുറഞ്ഞ ജില്ല വയനാടാണ്.
388 അപകടങ്ങളും 32 മരണവുമാണ് വയനാട്ടിലുണ്ടായത്.
രാത്രിയാണ് വാഹനാപകടങ്ങള്‍ കൂടുതലെന്നാണ് നാഷണല്‍ ട്രാന്‍സ്പോര്‍ട്ടേഷന്‍ പ്ലാനിങ് ആന്‍ഡ് റിസര്‍ച്ച് സെന്റര്‍ (നാറ്റ്പാക്ക്) അധികൃതര്‍ പറയുന്നത്. 10 മുതല്‍ 15 ശതമാനം വാഹനങ്ങളേ രാത്രിയി

വലിയൊരു ദുരന്തത്തെ മറികടക്കുന്നതിന് ഒരുമയോടെ പ്രവർത്തിക്കാൻ പോലീസിനായി.53,000 പേരെയാണ് പോലീസ് സേനാംഗങ്ങൾ നേരിട്ട് രക്ഷിച്ചത്. ഒരുലക്ഷത്തിലധികം പേരെ രക്ഷിച്ച് സുരക്ഷിത സ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലെത്തിക്കാനും വഴിയൊരുക്കി.രക്ഷാപ്രവർത്തകർക്ക് പോകുന്നതിനുള്ള വഴിയൊരുക്കുകയും പലയിടത്തും ഗതാഗതം നിയന്ത്രിക്കുന്നതിനും അവർ രാപകലില്ലാതെ നിലയുറപ്പിച്ചു. അണക്കെട്ടുകൾതുറക്കും മുമ്പ് താമസക്കാരെ മാറ്റുന്നതിനും പോലീസ് നേരിട്ട് ഇറങ്ങി. സായുധസേനാ വിഭാഗങ്ങൾ, വനിതാ കമാൻഡോകൾ, ആർ.ആർ.ആർ.എഫ്, ലോക്കൽ പോലീസ്, പോലീസ് ട്രെയിനിങ് കോളേജിലെയും കേരള പോലീസ് അക്കാദമിയിലെയും ട്രെയിനികൾ ഉൾപ്പടെയുള്ളവർ ദൗത്യത്തിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തു. മേൽനോട്ടംവഹിച്ചത് സംസ്ഥാന പോലീസ് മേധാവി ലോക്നാഥ് ബെഹ്റ ആയിരുന്നു.രക്ഷപ്പെടുത്തണമെന്ന ആവശ്യവുമായി എത്തിയവരെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കാനും പോലീസ് മറന്നില്ല.പ്രളയം രൂക്ഷമായതോടെ ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ടവരെ രക്ഷപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനായുള്ള ഫോൺവിളികൾ വർധിച്ചു. ഇതേത്തുടർന്ന് ജില്ലകളിൽ രൂപവത്കരിച്ച കൺട്രോൾ റൂമുകൾക്ക് പുറമേ പോലീസ് ആസ്ഥാനത്തും 10 ലൈനുകളുള്ള കൺടോൾ റൂം തുറന്നു. രക്ഷപ്പെടുത്തണമെന്ന ആവശ്യവുമായി എത്തിയത് ഒന്നര ലക്ഷത്തിലധികം ഫോൺ കോളുകളാണ്. ഇവ രക്ഷാപ്രവർത്തകർക്ക് കൈമാറുന്നതിനൊപ്പം, വിളിച്ചവരെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കാനും പോലീസ് മറന്നില്ല. കുടുങ്ങിക്കിടന്നവരിൽ ഫോണിൽ കിട്ടാവുന്നവരെ വിളിച്ച് പോലീസ് ധൈര്യം പകരുകയും ചെയ്തു. ദുതിതാശ്വാസത്തിനായി സാധനസാമഗ്രികൾ പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനുകളിൽ സ്വീകരിച്ച് പ്രധാന കളക്‌ഷൻ സെന്ററുകളിലേക്ക് കൈമാറി. പ്രളയാനന്തരം വീടുകൾ വൃത്തിയാക്കുന്നതിനും പുനരധിവാസ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്കും പോലീസ് മുന്നിലുണ്ട്. വെള്ളമിറങ്ങിക്കഴിഞ്ഞ് വീട്ടിലേക്കെത്തുമ്പോൾ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കേണ്ടകാര്യങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് കോട്ടയം പോലീസ് അഞ്ചുമിനിട്ട് വീഡിയോയും ഇറക്കി.
