നിലവിലെ സാഹചര്യത്തില്‍ പെട്രോള്‍ വിലയില്‍ കേന്ദ്ര സര്‍ക്കാരിന് 25 രൂപ കുറവു വരുത്താമെന്ന് മുന്‍ ധനമന്ത്രി പി.ചിദംബരം.
ക്രൂഡ് ഓയില്‍ വില കുറഞ്ഞതിനാല്‍ കേന്ദ്രത്തിന് 15 രൂപ ആ വഴിക്ക് ലഭിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. അതിന് പുറമേ അധിക നികുതിയായി 10 രൂപയും ലഭിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. അങ്ങനെ വരുമ്പോള്‍ 25 രൂപ കേന്ദ്രത്തിന് ലഭിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ഈ തുക വേണ്ടെന്നു വച്ചാല്‍ പെട്രോള്‍ വില കുറയുമെന്നാണ് ചിദംബരം പറഞ്ഞത്.എന്നാല്‍ കേന്ദ്രസര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ഇതിന് തയ്യാറാവുന്നില്ലെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തി.അതേസമയം ലിറ്ററിന് ഒരു രൂപയോ രണ്ടു രൂപയോ കുറച്ച് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ജനങ്ങളെ വഞ്ചിക്കുകയാണെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.കേരളത്തില്‍ 31 പൈസയാണ് പെട്രോളിന് ബുധനാഴ്ച കൂടിയത്. ഡീസലിന് 28 പൈസയും കൂടി. തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് പെട്രോള്‍ വില 81.31 രൂപയാണ്. ഡല്‍ഹിയില്‍ പെട്രോളിന് 76.87 രൂപയും മുംബൈയില്‍ 84.40 രൂപയുമാണ് പെട്രോള്‍ വില.എന്നാല്‍ വില പിടിച്ചുനിര്‍ത്താന്‍ ശ്രമം നടക്കുന്നുണ്ടെന്ന് കേന്ദ്രസര്‍ക്കാര്‍ പറയുമ്പോള്‍ തങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് നിര്‍ദേശങ്ങള്‍ ഇതുവരെ ലഭിച്ചിട്ടില്ലെന്ന് ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ഓയില്‍ അധികൃതര്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കി. കര്‍ണാടക തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പും ഇന്ധന വില വര്‍ധനയും തമ്മില്‍ ബന്ധമൊന്നുമില്ലെന്നും അധികൃതര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
