After Jesus rose from the dead, he had predicted that the message would travel far and wide from Jerusalem. A few followers had fled from Jerusalem after Stephen's death to travel to the land of Phoenicia, Cyprus and Antioch of Syria and preach the Good News, but only to the Jews.
