Exposing the hypocrisy of the BJP, Rahul Gandhi said that the opposition party had no right to talk about corruption as it had failed to take action in the recruitment scam, popularly known as the Vyapam Scandal, in Madhya Pradesh. This, he said, was one among the series of corruption scandals and crony capitalism that has flourished under the BJP regime. 'Let me ask you one thing, has the BJP government taken any action in the Vyapam scandal? When will they do it? Their leaders talk about corruption everywhere they go, but under the BJP government, corruption thrives and grows... They did the same in Karnataka,' he said at a massive rally at the Khandwa stadium where tens of thousands of people had gathered to listen to their leader. Rahul Gandhi also criticised the so called Gujarat model of development and said that it did not matter whether it was called a 'toffee model or the tea model' because the fact was it benefitted only a select few industrialist friends of the Gujarat government. 'Their ideology is that of 'India Shining'. They want to take the money and resources of the people and give it to 2-3 industrialists. They want the poor to remain poor. Their politics is of anger, hatred and making people fight...We say India should be one and that everyone, including the poor and the backward are included in its progress..
