Speaking about the alleged apathetic approach on the promises made by the NDA then, Sonia Gandhi urged the prime minister Narendra Modi to look into the reorgnisation bill and act on it swiftly. She even stressed that no steps were taken for the welfare of the state despite the coalition government at the centre and the state. She further highlighted on the need of having a separate capital for Andhra Pradesh.
