Actress Amanda Bynes has been charged over two alleged hit-and-runs that occurred this year.
Bynes, best known for her role in the hit film Easy A, was involved in two accidents, on April 10 and August 4.
The latter incident involved Bynes rear-ending a vehicle, stepping out briefly to declare no damage had been done and then driving off. Investigators later determined that the crash had caused US$800 worth of damage and that Bynes had failed to exchange insurance information with the other driver and notify the police as required by law.
It isn't the first time Bynes' driving has gotten her in trouble with the law. Earlier this year, the 26-year-old was arrested after allegedly grazing a sheriff's patrol car. She was suspected to have been driving under the influence of alcohol at the time, but pleaded not guilty.
Bynes is now seeking help from high places to clear her name, publicly calling on the President of the United States of America for assistance.

L.A. prosecutors charged actress Amanda Bynes on Wednesday in connection with two alleged hit-and-run car accidents.
The charges are related to crashes on April 10 and Aug 4. 2012, said city attorney's spokesman Frank Manteljan. Byrnes is scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 27 in Van Nuys. She faces a possible sentence of six months in jail for each count, if convicted. The file on the April incident was reopened after the August crash.
The LAPD's Valley Traffic Division investigated the Aug. 4 incident on Ventura Boulevard, in which a motorist claims a vehicle driven by Bynes rear-ended and damaged her Toyota. The driver said Bynes stopped only briefly, declared there was no damage and drove off.
The woman told investigators her car was damaged and that Bynes failed to provide insurance information or allow police to be called before she left, said Lt. Andrew Neiman of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Bynes, 26, later told investigators that she and the woman mutually agreed there was no significant damage after the low-speed collision, police said.
Neiman said investigators determined that the Toyota had about $800 in damage, and that the actress did not notify police or exchange insurance information as required by law. He said detectives will forward those findings to the L.A. County district attorney's office, which will decide whether to prosecute the matter, possibly as a hit-and-ru

Amanda Bynes is once again caught in legal issues. The blond beauty might face, at most, a year in jail once the court proves that she has committed two counts of hit-and-run misdemeanor in two separate occasions which happened April 10 and August 4 of this year.
TMZ broke the news that the state prosecutors have decided to re-open Bynes' hit-and-run case because they were able to successfully link the first incident to a Los Angeles-based woman's filed report regarding the actress rear-ending her last August 4, and then just driving off after a short talk without even providing her insurance information. The said case was originally rejected a couple of weeks ago due to the fact that there's not enough witness back then.
Bynes first said that the she and the woman she rear-ended agreed that there was no significant damage on both cars because it was only a low-speed collision. However, the woman who accused her denied that there was an agreement. It must also be noted that these two hit-and-run charges were different from the incidents that took place on May 5 and 27 of this year.
Apart from her hit-and-run cases, Bynes was also charged with a case of DUI, which she pled not guilty, to which her lawyer expressed in court on her behalf. It was further stated that the DA was trying to seek a sentencing enhancement because the 'She's the Man' actress refused to take a blood test and a breathalyzer.
