കേരളത്തിലെ തൊഴിലാളിവര്‍ഗ്ഗ പ്രസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുടെ കൊടി കുത്ത് സമരത്തില്‍ പൊലിഞ്ഞത് ഒരു ജീവന്‍.ദീര്‍ഘകാലം പ്രവാസിയായിരുന്ന പുനലൂര്‍ ഐക്കരക്കോണം വാഴമണ്‍ ആലന്‍ കീഴില്‍ സുഗതതനാണ് യുവജനസംഘടനയുടെ കൊടികുത്ത് സമരത്തോട് പോരാടാന്‍ കഴിയാതെ ജീവനൊടുക്കിയത്. പ്രവാസ ജീവിതം അവസാനിപ്പിച്ച് നാട്ടില്‍ മടങ്ങിയെത്തിയ 65കാരന്‍ വിളക്കുടിയില്‍ സമീപവാസിയായ ഒരാളുടെ സ്ഥലം പാട്ടത്തിനെടുത്ത് ഇവിടെ വര്‍ക്ക്‌ഷോപ്പിനുള്ള നിര്‍മ്മാണ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ ആരംഭിച്ചു. പണി പൂര്‍ത്തീകരിക്കാനൊരുങ്ങവെയാണ് സി.പി.ഐ പോഷക സംഘടനയായ എഐവൈഎഫ് പ്രതിഷേധവുമായി എത്തിയതും കൊടി കുത്തിയതും.വയല്‍ നികത്തിയ സ്ഥലമെന്ന് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടിയായിരുന്നു പ്രതിഷേധം.
