'Day 5 of the Men Junior's Hockey World Cup in Delhi and Pool C where we see The Netherlands take on Canada. Netherlands were playing to consolidate their position at the top of Pool C and immediately showed that they meant business.

The Netherlands opened their tally on a penalty-stroke when Rik Van Kan pass into the D was met by Thierry Brinkman whose shot was blocked by Manvir Kingra and was deemed by the Referee to have blocked a scoring chance resulting in a Penalty Stroke being awarded. This saw The Netherlands take the first goal of the game scored by Tom Hiebendaal.

The Netherlands doubled their lead when Roel Bovendeert surged into the D to pass into the direction Rik van Kan who slotted the ball into the back of the net. The Netherlands, who dominated most of the 1st half, showed how impressive they have been up front when Pepijn Luijkx made an impressive run into the D where his pass was met by Milan Van Baal and all he had to do was direct the ball into the goal making it 3-0. The Netherlands were clearly dominating the proceedings.

Just before Half-Time The Netherlands did not take their foot off the pedal and added another goal to the game when Jelle Galema picked up the ball, from a mistake made by Brandon Pereira, managed to create space for to unleash a shot in the D that went straight at Tristan Burgoyne (GK) but the rebound was met by the captain Roel Bovendeert who, like Van Baal's goal, just ha.
