Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) : The decades old police station located at Drang has now been shifted to Padhar. Due to this, now people of about a dozen panchayats of Drang area have to travel 25 to 30 kilometers for their small work related to law. Angered by this, the representatives of these Panchayats sent a memorandum to the state government through DC Mandi today. They have demanded from the government that a police post should be opened at the place where there was a police station in Drang so that the people of the area do not have to make rounds for their small tasks.

    Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) : The Panjod drinking water scheme being constructed under the Padhar subdivision of the district mandi started to be built after 15 years, but the dispute has deepened again. He had sanctioned one million rupees for road construction to start the unfinished work of the scheme on a war footing and to deliver pipes to the main source of power. But the villagers of the Dhamchyan panchayat are adamant about not providing water from the source of the water.
