Many people are missing after the cloudburst. 35 people have been rescued safely. The district administration has alerted the Air Force for rescue. DC Apurva Devgan and rescue teams left for the affected area on foot. The local administration present on the spot is engaged in relief work. There are difficulties in reaching the spot due to broken roads and paths.

Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) : The Panjod drinking water scheme being constructed under the Padhar subdivision of the district mandi started to be built after 15 years, but the dispute has deepened again. The plan is to benefit the people of the 17 panchayats of the sub-division, but villagers have come out against the source of the plan. Jal Shakti Minister Mahendra Singh Thakur himself visited the Thaltukhod village last month to take stock of the construction work to complete this ambitious plan of Rs 24 crore hanging in the balance for the last fifteen years. He had sanctioned one million rupees for road construction to start the unfinished work of the scheme on a war footing and to deliver pipes to the main source of power. But the villagers of the Dhamchyan panchayat are adamant about not providing water from the source of the water.
