People of Drang area are protesting against shifting of this police station. These people are more angry about the fact that if the police station had to be shifted then at least the police post should have been allowed to remain in Drang.

Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) : The decades old police station located at Drang has now been shifted to Padhar. Due to this, now people of about a dozen panchayats of Drang area have to travel 25 to 30 kilometers for their small work related to law. Angered by this, the representatives of these Panchayats sent a memorandum to the state government through DC Mandi today. They have demanded from the government that a police post should be opened at the place where there was a police station in Drang so that the people of the area do not have to make rounds for their small tasks.
