ടെക്നോളജി പുരോഗമിക്കുന്നതിന് അനുസരിച്ച് പഴയ ടെക്നോളജികള്‍ വിടപറയും ഇത്തരത്തില്‍ 2018 ല്‍ വിട പറഞ്ഞ കുറച്ചു പേരാണ് യാഹൂ മെസെഞ്ചര്‍, ഗൂഗിള് ഇന്‍ബോക്‌സ്, ഗൂഗിള് യുആര്‍എല്‍ ഷോര്‍ട്ട്‌നെര്‍, യൂട്യൂബ് ഗെയിമിങ്ങ് ആപ്പ്, ഫേസ്ബുക്ക് ഹെല്ലോ, ഗൂഗിള് പ്ലസ്, തുടങ്ങിയവ.
1998ല്‍ ആരംഭിച്ച യാഹൂ മെസഞ്ചര്‍ 2018 ജൂലൈ 17ന് പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം അവസാനിപ്പിച്ചു. 90കളില്‍ വെബ് അനുഭവവും ചാറ്റുകളും ലോകത്തിന് മുന്നില്‍ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത് യാഹൂ മെസഞ്ചര്‍ ആണ്. വാട്ട്‌സ്ആപ്പ്, ഫേസ്ബുക്ക്, സ്‌നാപ്ചാറ്റ് പോലെയുള്ളവയുടെ ജനപ്രീതി യാഹൂവിന് തിരിച്ചടിയായി. ഒപ്പം യാഹൂവിനെ വെരിസോണ ഏറ്റെടുത്തതോടെ ഈ ആപ്പിന്‍റെ സേവനം അവസാനിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ പുതിയ ഓഹരിഉടമകള്‍ തീരുമാനം എടുത്തു.
2014ല്‍ ലോഞ്ച് ചെയ്ത ഗൂഗിളിന്റെ ഇ മെയില്‍ ആപ്പ് 2019 മാര്‍ച്ച് മാസത്തോടെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം അവസാനിപ്പിക്കും.
പരീക്ഷണാര്‍ത്ഥം ഗൂഗിള് ആരംഭിച്ച ഈ ആപ്പ് ജീമെയിലിലേക്ക് വഴിമാറുകയായിരുന്നു. മൊബൈല്‍ ജി-മെയില്‍ ആപ്പ് ഇന്‍ബോക്സിന്‍റെ എല്ലാ പ്രത്യേകതകളും ഇപ്പോള്‍ നല്‍കുന്നതിനാല്‍ തന്നെ ഇന്‍ബോക്സിന്‍റെ അസ്തിത്വം തന്നെ ഇല്ലാതായതോടെ ഈ ആപ്പ് ഗൂഗിള് അവസാനിപ്പിക്കാൻ തീരുമാനമായി.
2009ല്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം ആരംഭിച്ച യുആര്‍എല്‍ ഷോര്‍ട്ട്‌നെര്‍ ഏറെ പ്രാധാന്യമുള്ള സേവനമാണ് നല്‍കിയത്
എഫ്ഡിഎല്‍, ബിറ്റ്‌ലി പോലെ സമാന സേവനം നല്‍കുന്നവ ഉപയോക്താക്കള്‍ക്ക് നിര്‍ദേശിക്കാനും ഗൂഗിള് മറന്നില്ല. 2015ല്‍ ആരംഭിച്ച യൂട്യൂബ് ഗെയിമിങ്ങ് ആപ്പ് 2019 മാര്‍ച്ച് മാസത്തോടെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം അവസാനിപ്പിക്കുമെന്നാണ് ഔദ്യോഗിക അറിയിപ്പ്.

വെറും രണ്ടരവര്‍ഷം മാത്രം ആയുസ്സുണ്ടായിരുന്ന എം-നെ ഫെയ്‌സ്ബുക്ക് കൊന്നത് ഈ വര്‍ഷമാദ്യമാണ്. കാലിഫോര്‍ണിയലെ ഏകദേശം രണ്ടായിരം പേര്‍ക്ക് മാത്രമാണ് ഫെയ്‌സ്ബുക്ക് ഈ സേവനം നല്‍കിയിരുന്നത്.

വിശപ്പിനോളം വലിയ വേദനയുണ്ടോ? മനുഷ്യന് സ്വബോധം നഷ്ടപ്പെടുമ്പോഴും വിശപ്പിനെ മാത്രമല്ലേ തിരിച്ചറിയാന്‍ പറ്റുന്നത്. ഒരു പിടി ചോറിന് വേണ്ടി ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ രക്തസാക്ഷിയാക്കാന്‍ തക്കവിധം നമ്മളെന്താണിങ്ങനെ ക്രൂരരായിപ്പോയത്? എന്ന് ചിന്തിപ്പിച്ചു മധു എന്ന ആദിവാസി സമൂഹത്തിലെ മനുഷ്യൻ.
കാടിന്റെ മകനെ മോഷണമാരോപിച്ച് അവന്റെ ഇടത്ത് പോയി പിടികൂടി ക്രൂരമായി തല്ലിച്ചതച്ച് ഒടുവില്‍ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു. അവന്റെ കയ്യില്‍ നിന്ന് പിടിച്ചെടുത്തത് ഒരു കിലോ അരിയും അല്‍പം മുളകുപൊടിയും. അട്ടപ്പാടിയിലെ ആദിവാസിയായ ആ മനുഷ്യന്, മധു എന്ന 27കാരന്‍ മനസിന് സുഖമില്ലാത്ത ഒരാള്‍ കൂടിയായരുന്നു. ലോകത്തെ പേടിയുള്ള, മനുഷ്യരെ കണ്ടാല്‍ ഭയന്ന് മാറി നടക്കുമായിരുന്നു ഒരാള്‍. എന്തിനാണ് ദൈവമിങ്ങനെ മനുഷ്യരെ വ്യത്യസ്ഥരാക്കി ഈ ഭൂമിയില്‍ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചത് എന്ന് മലയാളികൾ ചോദിച്ചു.

ജീവനുതുല്യം സ്നേഹിച്ചവനെ സ്വന്തം വീട്ടുകാർ മരണത്തിലേക്ക് പറഞ്ഞയച്ച് വിധി ക്രൂരത അതിരുകളില്ലാതെ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയ ഇര.കെവിന്റെ ഭാര്യ.ദുരഭിമാനക്കൊലയ്ക്ക് ഇരയായി കെവിന്‍ പി. ജോസഫ് മരിച്ചിട്ട് ഏഴുമാസം പൂര്‍ത്തിയായി.
മെയ് 27നായിരുന്നു നാടിനെ മുഴുവന്‍ നടുക്കിയ കൊപാതകം നടന്നത്. കോട്ടയം മാന്നാനത്തെ വീട്ടില്‍ നിന്ന് കെവിനെയും ബന്ധുവിനെയും അക്രമികള്‍ തട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോകുകയായിരുന്നു. ദലിത് വിഭാഗത്തില്‍പ്പെട്ട കെവിന്‍ നീനുവിനെ പ്രണയിച്ച് വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചതിലുള്ള വൈരാഗ്യമാണ് കൊലപാതകത്തില്‍ കലാശിച്ചത്. തെന്മല ചാലിയേക്കരയിലെ തോട്ടില്‍ നിന്നാണ് കെവിന്റെ മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.
ഒരുമിച്ചുള്ള ജീവിതം സ്വന്തം വീട്ടുകാര്‍ തന്നെ തകര്‍ത്തെറിഞ്ഞിട്ടും പ്രിയതമന്‍റെ നൊമ്പരപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന ഒാര്‍മകള്‍ മാത്രമാണ് നീനവിന് ഇന്ന് സ്വന്തം.
