സൗത്ത് ഗോവയിൽ ചൊർചൊരം എന്ന സ്ഥലത്തിനു സമീപം സലൗലി നദിയില്‍ നിർമ്മിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന അണക്കെട്ടാണിത്.ഈ നദിയിൽ നിന്നാണ് അണക്കെട്ടിന് പേരുലഭിക്കുന്നത്. ഏകദേശം 24 സ്ക്വയർ കിലോമീറ്റർ വ്യാപിച്ചു കിടക്കുന്ന അണക്കെട്ട് ഗോവയിലെ പ്രശസ്തമായ ഇടങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നാണ്.ഡാമിനുള്ളിൽ തന്നെ നിർമ്മിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഗര്‍ത്തം ഒരു ത്രിഡി കിണർ പോലെ കാണപെടും. ഈ ഗർത്തത്തിലേക്ക് ചുറ്റിലും നിന്നും വെള്ളം ഇറങ്ങുന്ന രീതിയിലാണ് നിർമ്മിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് .ത്രിഡീ ചിത്രത്തിൽ കാണുന്നതുപോലെ ഡാമിനുള്ളിൽ നിർമ്മിച്ച ഒരു ആർച്ചിലേക്ക് കുത്തിയൊലിച്ചിറങ്ങുന്ന വെള്ളം ഇവിടെ കാണാൻ കഴിയും.ഡാമിന്റെ റിസർവ്വോയറിനുള്ളിൽ മറ്റൊരു കിണർ പോലെ ഒരു നിർമ്മിതിയുണ്ട്. ഭാഗികമായി നിർമ്മിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ആർച്ചാണിത്. ഇതിനുള്ളിലേക്ക് റിസർവ്വോയറിലെ വെള്ളം താഴേക്ക് പതിക്കും. ഏകദേശം 40 അടി താഴ്ചയിൽ നിർമ്മിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ഭാഗിക റിസർവ്വോയറിൽ നിന്നും വെള്ളം വീണ്ടും ഒരു ഗർത്തത്തിലൂടെ നൂറടി താഴ്ചയിലേക്ക് പോകും.1971 ൽ നിർമ്മാണം ആരംഭിച്ച ഡാം വർഷങ്ങളെടുത്താണ് പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയത്.അണക്കെട്ടിൻരെ നിർമ്മാണം പൂർത്തിയായപ്പോഴേക്കും 20 ഗ്രാമങ്ങൾ പൂർണ്ണമായും വെള്ളത്തിനടിയിലായിരുന്നു. 3000 ആളുകളെയാണ് ഇവിടെ നിന്നും മാറ്റിപ്പാർപ്പിച്ചത്.. സൗത്ത് ഗോവയിലെ മര്‍ഗാവ് റെയില്‍വേ സ്‌റ്റേഷനില്‍ നിന്നും ചുര്‍ചൊരം വഴി 30 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ സഞ്ചരിച്ചാൽ ഇവിടെ എത്താം.

സമുദ്ര നിരപ്പിൽ നിന്നും 640 മീറ്റർ ഉയരത്തിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഈ കുന്നിന്റെ മറ്റൊരു ആകർഷണം ഇവിടുത്തെ ക്ഷേത്രമാണ്. നഗരത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും പഴക്കമേറിയ സ്മാരകങ്ങളിലൊന്നായാണ് പാർവ്വതി ക്ഷേത്രത്തെ കണക്കാക്കുന്നത്.പാർവ്വതി ഹില്ലിൻറെ കഥകൾ നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകൾക്കു മുൻപേയുള്ളതാണ്. തവരെ എന്നു പേരായ ഒരു പാട്ടീലിന്റെ കൈവശമായിരുന്നുവത്രെ ഈ കുന്നിൻ പ്രദേശം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത്. ഇവിടെ ക്ഷേത്രം പണിയുക എന്ന ഉദ്ദേശത്തിൽ പെഷവാ ഇവിടം വിലകൊടുത്തു വാങ്ങി ഇവിടെ ക്ഷേത്രം നിർമ്മിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ഒരിക്കൽ ഇവിടുത്തെ ദേവിയോട് പ്രാർഥിച്ചതിന്‍റെ ഫലമായി പെഷവായുടെ അമ്മയുടെ അസുഖം മാറി.
അന്നു മുതൽ അദ്ദേഹം ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ നിത്യ സന്ദർശകനായി മാറി.
പാർവ്വതി ഹില്ലിനു മുകളിലെ ഏറ്റവും മനോഹരമായ കാഴ്ചകളിൽ ഒന്നാണ് പാർവ്വതി ക്ഷേത്രം. ഇവിടെ നിന്നും പൂനെ നഗരത്തിന്റെ മനോഹരമായ കാഴ്ചകൾ കാണാൻ സാധിക്കും എന്നതാണ് മറ്റൊരു ആകർഷണം. എന്നാൽ ഒരു ക്ഷേത്രം മാത്രമല്ല ഇവിടെയുള്ളത്. ദേവ്ദേവേശ്വര ക്ഷേത്രം, വിത്താൽ ക്ഷേത്രം, രുക്മിണി ക്ഷേത്രം, വിഷ്ണു, കാർത്തികേയ എന്നീ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളാണ് ഇവിടെയുള്ളത്. ദേവദേവേശ്വര ക്ഷേത്രം 1749 ൽ ബാലാജി ബാജിറാവുമാണ് നിർമ്മിച്ചത്.

ചൈലിൽ ഏറ്റവും അധികം സഞ്ചാരികൾ എത്തിച്ചേരുന്ന ഇടങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ് സാധുപുൽ ലേക്ക്.
