The House's top Democrat Nancy Pelosi, has spoken out about another 'sexting' scandal involving mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner.
Speaking about the scandal, which emerged after gossip website The Dirty posted uncensored images of Mr Weiner, Ms Pelosi said:
'The conduct of some of these people that we're talking about here is reprehensible. It's so disrespectful of women. And what's stunning is that they don't even realise it.
'They don't have a clue. If they are clueless, get a clue. And if they need therapy, do it in private.'
Mr Weiner has vowed to continue on with his campaign, despite wide spread calls for him to stand down.
The one-time favourite for New York mayor justified his decision saying:
'I am waging this campaign on a bet, and the bet is at the end of the day, citizens care more about their own future than about my past with my wife and my embarrassing things.'
Earlier this week Mr Weiner's, wife Huma Abedin spoke publicly in support of her husband saying: 'I love him, I have forgiven him, I believe in him.'
