SRINAGAR: Contractual employees working under the National Health Mission (NHM) scheme in Jammu and Kashmir today staged a protest here demanding regularisation of their services.
Hundreds of employees, including doctors, paramedical staff and technicians of the health department, who are working on contractual basis under the NHM, from different districts of the Valley assembled at the Pratap Park in the commercial hub Lal Chowk here and started protesting, officials said.
They said the protesting employees shouted slogans against the state government and demanded their services be regularised.
The employees demanded they should also be included in the list of 60,000 employees who are to be regularised as recently announced by the government, the officials said.

He alleges that his duty was imposed in the secretary's house for domestic work. In such a situation, when he refused to do this work, he was being fired. Along with this, she is also handicapped due to which she is not able to do domestic work.

The spokesman said protesting employees intensify their protest and demands regularisation of their services in Partap Park, Srinagar.
