Minister for Public Works, Naeem Akhtar visited the residence of Ms Kashyap Neha Pandita in her tenement at Jagti migrant camp here today. Ms Neha recently qualified the Kashmir Administrative Services (KAS) examination.
Giving credit to her family for the success, the Minister said that family support is key to success of a child and it is important that girls are given the conducive environ to excel and achieve success in life.
The Minister said her selection will encourage others from the community to work hard for achieving their dreams.
Appreciating the role and contribution of Kashmiri Pandit community in the administration, the Minister asked the youth of the community to learn from the courage and commitment that she has exhibited in achieving her goal in spite of facing numerous odds in her life.
Saying that youth of state are second to none in talent, the Minister said it is just a matter of determination and making use of available opportunities to achieve desired goals..

Terrorists shot dead a BJP councillor in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday night when he was visiting his friend's house in the Tral area of Pulwama district, officials said here. A group of three terrorists opened indiscriminate fire at BJP leader Rakesh Pandita around 10.15 pm, a police spokesperson said, adding that his friend's daughter also suffered injuries and was hospitalised in a critical condition. J&K BJP chief Ravinder Raina condemned the death of BJP leader and said the 'martyrdom' of Pandita will not go in vain.
