एसएसपी अजय कुमार के मुताबिक शुरुआती जांच पड़ताल में यह बात सामने आई है कि दीपू शर्मा नाम के किसी व्यक्ति से मृतक की पुरानी रंजिश थी और रुपयों के लेन-देन का विवाद था. एसएसपी ने कहा है कि मामले में परिजनों की ओर से तहरीर मिलने पर नामजद एफआईआर दर्ज कर कार्रवाई की जाएगी. नामजद आरोपी को गिरफ्तार कर साक्ष्यों के आधार पर मामले में कठोर कार्रवाई की जाएगी. एसएसपी ने कहा है कि किसी दोषी को कतई की बक्शा नहीं जाएगा.

नजीबाबाद क्षेत्र में ट्यूशन पढ़कर घर लौट रहे आईटीआई समीपुर के एक छात्र को बाईक सवार युवकों ने गोली मार दी। गोली लगने से गंभीर अवस्था में घायल छात्र को प्राथमिक उपचार के बाद जिला अस्पताल रेफर किया गया।
जानकारी के अनुसार गांव नंगला पिथैरा निवासी 20 वर्षीय राजीव कुमार आईटीआई का छात्र है जो नजीबाबाद से ट्यूशन पढ़कर अपने साथियों के साथ गांव जाने के लिए मैजिक वाहन पर सवार हुआ था। राजीव अपने साथियों के साथ मैजिक वाहन के पीछे खड़ा होकर सफर कर रहा था इसी दौरान पीछे से बुलेट बाईक पर सवार युवकों ने राजीव को गोली मार दी। गोली चलते ही क्षेत्र में अफरा-तफरी मच गई। वही हमलावर मौके पर ही बुलेट छोड़कर फरार हो गए। घटना की सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस क्षेत्राधिकारी गजेन्द्र पाल सिंह, थााना प्रभारी दिनेश गौड़ पुलिस फोर्स के साथ मौके पर पहुंचे और हमलावरों की बाईक को अपने कब्ज़े में ले लिया। पुलिस क्षेत्राधिकारी ने बताया कि हमलावरों को चिन्हित करने के लिए टीम लगाई गई है और घायल युवक के साथियों से भी पूछताछ की जा रही है। हमलावरों की पहचान कर जल्द गिरफ्तार किया जायेगा। वहीं गोली लगने से घायल छात्र की स्थिति को गंभीर देखते हुए जिला अस्पताल से मेरठ के लिए रेफर किया गया।

In a shocking incident early morning on Friday, an unidentified assailant opened fire on one Sachin Kurtiker a 33-year-old driver as he was riding his bike near Bethora junction. The victim sustained injuries to his back soon after which he was rushed to the hospital for urgent treatment. The incident happed around 6:15 am. The motive behind the attack, the firearm used and the number of attackers are yet to be determined. South Goa Superintendent of Police Sunita Sawant and Ponda police reached on the site immediately for investigation. In a setback to the investigation, the CCTV camera installed by the panchayat was found to be inoperable. The police are now searching through other CCTV camera's in the area.'The victim's statement will be recorded if the doctors declare him fit for this. We have posted policemen around his ward and hospital. Until then we are looking at clues to track down the accused,' an officer told media.
