20,000 ചതുരശ്ര മീറ്റര്‍ വിസ‌്തീര്‍ണത്തില്‍ അന്താരാഷ്ട്രനിലവാരത്തിലുള്ള മ്യൂസിയം നിര്‍മിക്കാന്‍ സുപ്രീംകോടതി നിയോഗിച്ച വിദഗ‌്ധസമിതി ശുപാര്‍ശ. സുപ്രീംകോടതി ഉത്തരവിനെതുടര്‍ന്ന‌് 2009--10 കാലയളവില്‍ ക്ഷേത്രനിലവറകള്‍ പരിശോധിച്ചപ്പോഴാണ‌് ശതകോടികള്‍ വിലമതിക്കുന്ന അമൂല്യമായ വന്‍ വജ്ര, സ്വര്‍ണാഭരണ ശേഖരം കണ്ടെത്തിയത‌്. ഇവ തിട്ടപ്പെടുത്താനും എന്തുചെയ്യണമെന്ന‌് പരിശോധിക്കാനുമാണ‌് സമിതി. 13--ാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടുമുതലുള്ള സ്വര്‍ണാഭരണങ്ങള്‍, വജ്രം, പവിഴം, മുത്ത‌് പതിപ്പിച്ച ആഭരണങ്ങള്‍, യൂറോപ്യന്‍ നാണയങ്ങള്‍, ഏഷ്യയിലെ വിവിധഭാഗങ്ങളിലെയും ഇന്ത്യയിലെ നാട്ടുരാജ്യങ്ങളിലെയും നാണയശേഖരങ്ങള്‍ എന്നിവയാണ‌് ക്ഷേത്രത്തില്‍ ഇതിനകം തുറന്ന എ, സി, ഡി, ഇ, എഫ‌് നിലവറകളിലുള്ളത‌്.
ഇതില്‍ എ നിലവറയിലുള്ള ശേഖരങ്ങളാണ‌് മ്യൂസിയത്തില്‍ ആദ്യം ഉള്‍പ്പെടുത്തുക.

സന്ദര്‍ശകരുടെ എണ്ണം വര്‍ധിക്കുന്നതിന‌് അനുസൃതമായി വര്‍ഷം 30 കോടി രൂപ വരുമാനമായി ലഭിക്കുമെന്നും റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട‌് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടുന്നു.
