दिल्ली के उपराज्यपाल पद से इस्तीफा दे चुके नजीब जंग शुक्रवार को पीएमओ पहुंचे। जंग पीएमओ में करीब 1 घंटा 20 मिनट रहे। गृह मंत्रालय के मुताबिक जंग पर इस्तीफे का कोई दबाव नहीं था, हालांकि उनका इस्तीफा मंजूर कर लिया जाएगा। फिलहाल, राष्ट्रपति भी दिल्ली से बाहर हैं इसलिए जब तक उनका इस्तीफा आधिकारिक तौर पर मंजूर नहीं होता है, नजीब जंग एलजी के पद पर बने रहेंगे। गृह मंत्रालय के सूत्रों के हवाले से खबर है कि एलजी पद के लिए नए नामों पर विचार जारी है।..इससे पहले दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल और डिप्टी सीएम मनीष सिसोदिया आज जंग से मिलने पहुंचे..केजरीवाल ने इसे सिर्फ औपचारिक मुलाकात बताया। एक घंटे तक चली मुलाकात के बाद सीएम केजरीवाल ने भी यही बताया कि जंग ने निजी कारणों से इस्तीफा दिया है...केजरीवाल ने बताया कि जंग परिवार को समय देना चाहते हैं। एकेडमिक्स में वापस जाना चाहते हैं। पिछले एक साल से इस्तीफा देने की सोच रहे थे, लेकिन दिल्ली में चिकनगुनिया और डेंगू आदि, कुछ इस तरह के मामले होते रहे, जिसकी वजह से वह इस्तीफा नहीं दे पाए..वहीं अब नज़ीब जंग के बाद एलजी की जगह कौन लेगा...इस पर चर्चा गर्म है...इस रेस में कईं नाम सामने आमने आ रहे हैं...किरन बेदी, पूर्व नौकरशाह अनिल बैजल और पूर्व कमिश्नर बीएस बस्सी का नाम इस रेस में सबसे आगे चल रहा है
