The doodle with a night theme has the spotlight on a male athlete preparing to throw the Javelin in front of a jam-packed stadium.
Google featured London 2012 Synchronised Swimming doodle, depicting a team of female synchronised swimmers performing a routine on the homepage on Sunday.
Saturday's doodle was dedicated to London 2012 Pole Vault.
On Friday, the doodle was dedicated to the Shot Put.

The search engine giant, since the opening ceremony of London Olympics 2012, has dedicated a collection of fascinating doodles to show its support and spirit to the games.
The London 2012 Javelin doodle depicts a male javelin thrower in action in a stadium.
The logo of Google is seen behind the athlete with its third letter 'O' hidden.
In its league of Google Olympics doodle, the London 2012 Javelin is the first ever Javelin doodle featured by the search engine.
In Javelin throw athletes throw the javelin, a spear, as far as possible within a predetermined area.
The javelin in the men's competition is 2.7m long and weighs at least 800g.
On the other hand, the javelin in the women's competition is 2.2m long and weighs at least 600g.
The winner of this sport is declared based on the distance the javelin covers, which is the distance from the end of the runway till it hits the ground.

The Javelin throw event will begin at the London Olympics 2012 on August 8. Google Doodle meanwhile displays its own version.
What was used as a weapon once, became a sport later and is an integral part of athletic events such as men's decathlon and women's heptathlon.
In the Nordic nations of Europe - Norway, Sweden, Finland - javelin throw bears great significance. A total of 69 Olympic medals in men's javelin and 32 have gone to one of these three nations. Infact, Finland also swept the medals in the event at the 1920 and 1932 Olympics. In the 1920 sweep, Finland finished fourth too. This cannot happen again as only three athletes from a country can feature in a particular Olympics.
At the 1906 Intercalated Games, it was Sweden who grabbed four top places. In 1912 Olympics the event was two-handed javelin where in throws from both the hands were to be made. This was the only time that such an event took place at the Games and Finland took away all the medals.
The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) decides the size, shape, weight and the centre of gravity of the javelin. In the international competitions, the men's javelin is 2.6 to 2.7 metres in length while the women's is between 2.2 to 2.3 metres.

Using a run-up the athlete must release the javelin before the end of the runway, launching it with one hand held over the shoulder. The distance the javelin travels is measured from the end of the runway to the point the javelin first touches the ground, which must be within the lines of the throwing sector. The javelin must land on its tip for the throw to be valid.
In all throwing events, athletes start with a qualifying round. Throwing in turn, each athlete gets three attempts to achieve a qualifying distance, decided by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Technical Delegates. Once all throws have been completed, all athletes who have achieved the qualifying distance go through to the final. If fewer than 12 athletes achieve the qualifying standard, the best 12 athletes go through.
In the final, athletes have three initial throws, with the top eight after the first three rounds then having a further three throws. The athlete who performs the longest throw is the winner.
In the event of a tie, athletes' second-best throws are compared, followed by their third, and so on.
