പഞ്ചാബ് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി അമരീന്ദര്‍ സിങ്ങിന് വേണ്ടി ബുള്ളറ്റ് പ്രൂഫ് സുരക്ഷയുള്ള ലാന്‍ഡ് ക്രൂയിസറാണ് വാങ്ങുന്നത്. ബുള്ളറ്റ് പ്രൂഫ് സുരക്ഷയുള്ള മിസ്തുബിഷി മോണ്ടിറോയിലായിരുന്നു ഇതുവരെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ യാത്ര. രണ്ട് ബുള്ളറ്റ് പ്രൂഫ് ഉള്‍പ്പടെ 16 ലാന്‍ഡ് ക്രൂയിസറാണ് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ വാങ്ങുന്നത്. മന്ത്രിമാരുടെയും ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരുടെയും വാഹനത്തിനായി 80 കോടി രൂപയാണ് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ചെലവഴിക്കുന്നത്. മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ ഓഫീസിലെ ജീവനക്കാര്‍ക്കായി 13 സ്‌കോര്‍പിയോയും സ്‌പെഷ്യല്‍ ഡ്യൂട്ടി ഓഫീസര്‍മാര്‍ക്കായി മാരുതി ഡിസയര്‍, എര്‍ട്ടിഗ, ഹോണ്ട അമേസ് തുടങ്ങി 14 കാറുകളും സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ വാങ്ങിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. അമരീന്ദര്‍ സിങ് മന്ത്രിസഭയിലെ 17 മന്ത്രിമാര്‍ക്കും ടൊയോട്ടയുടെ ഫോര്‍ച്യൂണറോ ഇന്നോവ ക്രിസ്റ്റയോ നല്‍കും. മുമ്പ് ടൊയോട്ട കാംറിയായിരുന്നു മന്ത്രിമാരുടെ ഔദ്യോഗിക വാഹനം. സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ 97 എംഎല്‍എമാര്‍ക്കും ഇന്നോവ ക്രിസ്റ്റ നല്‍കാനും സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചു.
