പൊലീസ് ഡ്രൈവറെ മകള്‍ മര്‍ദ്ദിച്ച സംഭവത്തില്‍ എഡിജിപി സുധേഷ് കുമാറിനെ ആംഡ് പോലീസ് ബറ്റാലിയൻ മേധാവി സ്ഥാനത്തുനിന്ന് നീക്കി. എഡിജിപി അനന്തകൃഷ്ണനാണ് ബറ്റാലിയന്റെ പുതിയ ചുമതല.
സ്ഥലം മാറ്റിയ ഉത്തരവില്‍ പുതിയ നിയമനം സുധേഷ് കുമാറിന് സൂചിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടില്ല.
പോലീസ് സേനയ്ക്ക് പുറത്ത് എവിടെയെങ്കിലും അദ്ദേഹത്തെ നിയമിക്കാന്‍ ഒരുങ്ങുന്നതെന്നാണ് ലഭ്യമായ വിവരം. അദേഹത്തോട് പൊലീസ് ആസ്ഥാനത്ത് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്യനും നിര്‍ദേശം നല്‍കി. അതിനിടെ എഡിജിപിക്കെതിരെ ഇന്ന് കൂടുതൽ ആരോപണങ്ങളുമായി ക്യാമ്പ്‌ ഫോളോവേഴ്സ് രംഗത്തെത്തിയിരുന്നു. എഡിജിപിയുടെ ഭാര്യയും മകളും പീഡിപ്പിച്ചെന്ന് വനിത ക്യാമ്പ്‌ ഫോളോവർ ആരോപിച്ചു. വീട്ടുജോലിക്കെത്താൻ വൈകിയതിന് മർദിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിച്ചെന്നും പട്ടിയെക്കൊണ്ട് കടിപ്പിക്കണമെന്ന് എഡിജിപി ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടുവെന്നും തന്റെ കുടുംബത്തെയടക്കം അപമാനിച്ചെന്നും ക്യാമ്പ്‌ ഫോളോവർ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി.
വ്യാഴാഴ്ച രാവിലെ എട്ടോടെ എഡിജിപിയുടെ മകളെയും ഭാര്യയെയും പ്രഭാത നടത്തത്തിനായി കനകക്കുന്നിൽ കൊണ്ടുപോയപ്പോഴയിരുന്നു ഗവാസ്കർക്കിന് മർദനമേറ്റത്.
പോലീസിലെ എല്ലാ കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ക്കും പോലീസ് നേതൃത്വത്തിനാണ് ഉത്തരവാദിത്വമെന്ന് മുന്‍ ഡിജിപി ടി.പി. സെന്‍കുമാര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. മറ്റു സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നു വരുന്ന ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ക്ക് ഇവിടത്തെ സാഹചര്യങ്ങളുമായി പൊരുത്തപ്പെടാനാകാത്തതാണ് പ്രശ്‌നമുണ്ടാക്കുന്നതെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ത്തു.മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി നിലപാട് കടുപ്പിച്ചതോടെ പൊലീസുകാരെ കൊണ്ട് അടിമപ്പണി ചെയ്യിപ്പിച്ച സംഭവത്തില്‍ നടപടിയെടുക്കുമെന്ന് ലോക്‌നാഥ് ബെഹ്‌റ അറിയിച്ചിരുന്നു.
