Australia took only six minutes to equalise from their first penalty corner with Chris Ciriello scoring. The Kookaburras picked up speed and were 2-1 ahead in the 24th minute after a brilliant reverse stick shot by Kieran Govers.

The second half started similarly to how the first half ended with Australia going 3-1 ahead with a field goal from Glenn Turner in the 38th minute. Ten minutes later, Chris Ciriello scored his second of the game, and sixth of the tournament, to put his nation 4-1 up. Ciriello completed his hat-trick in the 53rd minute as dominant Australia extended their lead to 5-1. The Netherlands found themselves 6-1 down with six minutes to go after a brilliant run and finish by Jamie Dwyer. Australia successfully defended their title and became world champions..

Naomi van As put the Oranje up 2-0 in the 65th minute after a hopeful video referral from the Australian team. The quality of the Dutch team was enough to ensure they prevailed with the win and secure a place in the semi-finals.

The Oranje were running away with the game and went 3-0 in the 22nd minute when Kim Lammers controlled a bouncing ball to send it into the cage.

    With the job done in the first half, the Netherlands focused on defending their lead but didn't come up against a troubling Argentinian side. In the final minute of the game, the Dutch put the icing on the cake and scored a great, flowing team goal finished by Kim Lammers to put the Netherlands safely into the final against Australia.

The first half was a tense affair with few clear-cut chances until the 33rd minute when Kellie White put Australia 1-0 up with a shot that came off USA's Lauren Crandall's stick and settled in the back of the goal.

    USA keeper Jackie Kintzer kept her nation in the game with a fantastic save in the 45th minute, and three minutes later Kelsey Kolojejchick drew the USA level at 1-1 with a great solo effort. Five minutes later Australia re-took the lead from a penalty corner converted by Anna Flanagan. The USA frantically tried to find an equaliser and with two minutes to play they got it through an effort by Kolojejchick. Australia contested the goal but didn't have a video referral and the goal stood to force a shoot-out for a place in the final.

    Both teams had their first shoot-out efforts saved before Australia went 1-0 ahead thanks to Kellie White. Kolojejchick scored the next effort for the USA to level at 1-1. Georgie Parker put Australia 2-1 up and then Aussie keeper Rachael Lynch saved Michelle Kasold's effort. Jodie Kenny stepped up for the decisive shot and prevailed to send Australia to the World Cup final.

Argentina pulled the score back to 5-1 in the 58th minute when Gonzalo Peillat struck a ferocious shot in from a penalty corner. However, the four goal deficit was too much to overcome and Australia sailed into the final to play the Netherlands.

Japan pulled one goal back through Akane Shibata, but it was only a consolation as Netherlands closed out the match to record an emphatic 6-1 win.

    The 2nd half, and Netherlands came out as the stronger team and grabbed the next goal of the game when the converted a Penalty Corner into the net and it Mink van der Weerden who executed shot, putting the Netherlands back in the driving seat. Netherlands kept there positive momentum and added another to their lead when Rolger Hofman shot, this time, sailed into the net, 3-1 Netherlands. The Netherlands nearly grabbed a 4th when a Penalty Corner, shot by Mark van der Weerden, sailed into the net but after a video referral was deemed too high and dangerous and the goal was not given. Argentina had one last chance when Gonzalo Pellat was awarded another Penalty Corner, but Japp Stockman produced a fantastic save, and Netherlands managed to hold their lead and grab the win ending 3-1 to The Netherlands.
