All starts when students have taken admissions in B.tech in year 2015 under regulation 13. The syllabus remains same as (R13). JNTU-H introduced (Regulation 15). (R15) has detention rule through credits. In 2016 (R16) is introduced, this regulation has different subjects and it is semester wise. According to JNTU-H.
As per (R15), the detained candidates are not supposed to continue 2nd year. Instead, they must repeat a year to increase credits by writing their blacklogs.
If a candidate is repeating a year, and writing his blacklogs with (R16) and gets passed.
Now, in year 2017. Detained candidates of (R15) would be doing their 2nd year with remaining (R16) candidates.
