ആ രണ്ട് ബാലന്മാരുടെ ചിത്രം സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യ ദിനത്തിനു ശേഷം ദേശഭക്തി’യുടെ നിറവില് പ്രചരിക്കപ്പെട്ട ചിത്രങ്ങളില് ഒന്നായിരുന്നു. ഈ രണ്ട് ബാലന്മാരില് ഒരാള് ഇന്ന് ഇന്ത്യന് പൗരത്വത്തിന്റെ കാര്യത്തില് ആശങ്കയിലാണ്.ആസമിലെ ധൂബ്രി ജില്ലയില് പ്രധാന അധ്യാപകനും മറ്റൊരു അധ്യാപകനും രണ്ട് കുട്ടികളും മാത്രമാണ് വെള്ളം മൂടി നില്ക്കുന്ന ആ സ്കൂളില് സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യദിനത്തില് പതാക ഉയര്ത്താന് വന്നത്. കേന്ദ്രസര്ക്കാര് പുറത്തിറക്കിയ ആസാമിന്റെ ദേശീയ പൗരത്വ രജിസ്റ്ററിന്റെ കരടില് ഹൈദര് ഖാന് എന്ന ഈ കുട്ടിയുടെ പേരില്ല. ഹൈദര് ഖാന്റെ മാതാവും സുഹൃത്തും അധ്യാപകരുമൊക്കെ പട്ടികയിലുണ്ടെങ്കിലും ബാലന്റെ പേര് പട്ടികയില് ഉള്പ്പെട്ടിട്ടില്ല. ഇന്ത്യന് പൗരന്മാരായ ആരും ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതില്ല എന്ന് കേന്ദ്രസര്ക്കാര് ആവര്ത്തിച്ച് ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിലും അസംകാര്ക്ക് ഇത് ഭീതി ഉളവാക്കുന്ന ഒന്ന് തന്നെയാണ്. ഹൈദറിന്റെ പിതാവ് 2011ല് ഉണ്ടായ കലാപത്തില് കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടതാണ്. പൗരത്വ രജിസ്റ്ററില് പേരില്ലാത്തതിനെ കുറിച്ച് ഒരു മാധ്യമ പ്രവര്ത്തകന് ചോദിച്ചപ്പോള് തനിക്ക് അതേക്കുറിച്ച് ഒന്നും അറിയില്ലെന്നാണ് ഈ ബാലന് നല്കിയ മറുപടി.കഴിഞ്ഞ മാസം പുറത്തുവന്ന അന്തിമ കരട് പട്ടികയില് നിന്ന് നാല്പത് ലക്ഷത്തോളം പേരാണ് പുറത്താക്കപ്പെട്ടത്.
