മിസോറം, ഹരിയാന, ഡല്ഹി, കര്ണാടക സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളും കേരളത്തിനൊപ്പം പട്ടികയില് മുന്നിലുണ്ട്. ഏറ്റവും കുറവ് ബീഹാറിലാണ്.2016ല് ഇന്ത്യയില് ഒരു ലക്ഷം ജനങ്ങളില് 106.6 പേര്ക്ക് എന്ന കണക്കിലാണ് കാന്സര് രോഗം കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. ഇതേ കാലത്ത് കേരളത്തില് മാത്രം ഒരു ലക്ഷം ജനങ്ങളില് 135.3 പേര്ക്ക് എന്ന നിലയിലാണ് അസുഖം സ്ഥിരീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്. കാന്സര് ബാധിച്ച് മരണവും അംഗ വൈകല്യങ്ങളും സംഭവിക്കുന്നവരുടെ എണ്ണം ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യന് സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളില് കൂടുതലാണ്
കാന്സര് ബാധിച്ച് ആളുകള് ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതല് മരിക്കുന്നത് മിസോറമിലാണ്. തൊട്ടുപിന്നാലെ കേരളം, ഹരിയാന സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുമുണ്ട്. ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യന് സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളില് ഒരു ലക്ഷം സ്ത്രീകളില് 73.5എന്ന കണക്കിലാണ് മരണം സംഭവിക്കുന്നത് . പുരുഷന്മാരില് ഒരു ലക്ഷത്തില് 103.4 എന്ന കണക്കിലും മരണം സംഭവിക്കുന്നു.കാന്സര് മൂലമുണ്ടാകുന്ന ശാരീരിക വൈകല്യങ്ങളടക്കമുള്ളവ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതല് സംഭവിക്കുന്നതും മിസോറം, കേരളം, അസം, ഹരിയാന സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലാണ്. 1999 മുതല് 2016 വരെ ഇന്ത്യയിലെ വിവിധ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളില് 28 തരം കാന്സറുകളാണ് കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടുള്ളതെന്നും പഠനങ്ങള് പറയുന്നു.
