Himachal government has announced in the budget to open modern libraries at every panchayat level. There is a plan to open 493 libraries in the first phase. The government will also make arrangements for transportation of students to schools located at a distance of more than three kilometers. Students will get clean water bottles. Appointment of physical teachers will be given priority. In government schools of the state, children will be able to study through English medium from class one. This will especially benefit the students of rural areas. Six thousand pre-primary teachers will be recruited in the coming financial year. Those who have done Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) will also be eligible for these posts. They will be trained by conducting a bridge course. For the betterment of education, changes will be made in the system from the coming financial year.
