शारदीय नवरात्र या महा नवरात्र आश्विन माह में आती है। यह आश्विन माह की प्रतिपदा तिथि से शुरू होती है और आश्विन माह की नवमी को समाप्त होती है। इस साल शारदीय नवरात्र 15 अक्टूबर, 2023 को शुरू होगी और 24 अक्टूबर, 2023 को समाप्त होगी। ब्रह्मचारिणी माँ की नवरात्र पर्व के दूसरे दिन पूजा-अर्चना की जाती है...साधक इस दिन अपने मन को माँ के चरणों में लगाते हैं। ब्रह्म का अर्थ है तपस्या और चारिणी यानी आचरण करने वाली। इस प्रकार ब्रह्मचारिणी का अर्थ हुआ तप का आचरण करने वाली। इनके दाहिने हाथ में जप की माला एवं बाएँ हाथ में कमण्डल रहता है।

Brahmacharini Maa is worshiped on the second day of Navratri festival…Students devote their minds to the feet of Maa on this day. Brahma means penance and Charini means one who conducts. Thus Brahmacharini means one who practices penance. He holds a chanting rosary in his right hand and a Kamandal in his left hand.
