The crash of Flight 214 was captured on video by a man who was out for a walk less than two kilometers away.
The video, which has since gone viral on the internet, shows the exact moment the jet slammed into the runway.
Park Ji-won has more. The upper-right corner of the video shows the airplane in flight. as it attempts to land at the airport.
This is Asiana Airlines flight 214 on its approach to the San Francisco airport,. but as you can see, it was flying so low that the tail hit the sea wall.

'Oh my God, oh it's an accident.'

Soon afterward, the plane slides down the runway.
As it slides down the runway,. the front of the plane pops up for a second, then crashes back into the runway,. engulfed in flames.

'Oh my God, oh my God '

The video was filmed by Fred Hayes,. who was out for a walk about 1-point-6 kilometers from the bay.
He said,. the airplane seemed like it was flying too low on its approach to the runway. and the angle of the plane as it was touching down didn't look right.
This video is expected to be an important source of information as investigators determine the cause of the accident.
