Sandeep Reddy said, 'Prashant is writing, producing and directing 'Mithai'. He has been my close friend. I am not saying it because he is my friend, but he is coming up with a good story. It's a good attempt that my friend is making. It's rare to find a dark comedy in Telugu. I am glad somebody is doing it. I wish Rahul Ramakrsihna, Kamal Kamaraju, Priyadarshi, Shweta Varma, Gayatri Gupta, Bhushan garu, Kalyan Subrahmanyam and the entire cast and crew all the best.'

He was there with us during the pre-production of 'Arjun Reddy' as well. He would be there at the office every day, giving us feedback whenever we wanted. Priyadarshi has been a close friend since 'PC'. Rahul Ramakrishna has become closer to me over the making of 'AR'. Vivek Sagar didn't compose the music for 3-4 of my movies. He is doing it for this film. I don't know if I have to feel happy or jealous. I am curious about this combination. It will be interesting to watch this dark comedy. I am curious to see the story. May the shoot go super smooth.'
