On Monday, September 20, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced that it has decided to pull out of their next month’s tour of Pakistan. The England men’s and women’s teams were scheduled to play the white-ball series in Pakistan in October. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja took to Twitter after the news arrived to express his disappointment.

Just a few days back, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) decided to pull out of their tour to Pakistan, only hours before the first game in Rawalpindi. The NZC later revealed that they had intelligence on the ground, which issued a terrorist threat looming large. Raja was disappointed then as well and had expressed this on Twitter.

After this incident, everyone expected the ECB to follow the steps of NZC to abandon their tour to Pakistan. But, in an interesting twist of events, ECB has not cited security concerns as the reason for pulling out. The board informed that it took the decision of pulling out keeping in mind the physical and mental well-being of its players.

Raja said that this is a wake-up call for the Pakistan team to become the best team in the world. “Disappointed with England, pulling out of their commitment & failing a member of their Cricket fraternity when it needed it most. Survive we will inshallah. A wake-up call for Pak team to become the best team in the world for teams to line up to play them without making excuses,” he wrote on Twitter.

The third ODI between New Zealand Women and England Women on Tuesday, September 21, at the Grace Road in Leicester is most likely to go ahead as per schedule after reports of the visitors facing security threats surfaced. As per reports, a member of the New Zealand team management was told that a bomb would be planted at the team hotel.

Earlier, it was also learned that they got the warning of a bomb to be placed on their plane on their return back home. Hence, in order to avoid a mishap, New Zealand anno.

Ramiz Raja Feels Aussies Changed Their DNA For IPL Money And More News

The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Ramiz Raja has accused Australia of playing ‘happily’ against India without their usual aggressive approach. The 59-year-old also said that the Aussie players have even changed their DNA for the sake of the money they make by playing in the IPL.

Adding that international cricketers now have pressure to save their IPL contracts, Raja further opined that cricketers receive a lot of money as well as several add-ons by taking part in the IPL.

“Australians have changed their DNA because of money, they play against India happily and without aggressive approach. International cricketers have pressure as now they want to save their IPL contracts where they receive a lot of money plus add-ons,” Raja was quoted as saying to ARY News.

MS Dhoni is known to be a street-smart cricketer. Hailed as one of the greatest captains that the game has seen, Dhoni has a legion of followers for the way he has led both the Indian cricket team as well as the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) side.

And, after the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) that took place on 25th September 2021, former England cricketer Michael Vaughan showered praise on Dhoni.

Vaughan stated that Dhoni realized Glenn Maxwell was going to bowl a few more overs and promoted Ambati Rayudu ahead of Suresh Raina to counter the Bangalore off-spinner. Vaughan added that it was ‘street smart’ cricket from Dhoni.

“If you look at the CSK batting lineup, they change it depending on the pitch and who is bowling. MS Dhoni realized that Maxwell is going to bowl again, and so, CSK threw a right-hander. That is smart cricket, and that is being flexible with your batting lineup,” said Michael Vaughan in a chat on Cricbuzz.

“You have got the greatest ever T20 captain (Dhoni), and there was a bit of a commotion when he was put as the mentor for the T20 World Cup. Why would India want MS Dhon

If we take PSL to auction model, then we’ll see who goes to play IPL over PSL: Ramiz Raja

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja has hinted that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) might ditch the draft system from the next season. He is looking to replace the draft system with the auction model through which the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been immensely successful since its inception in 2008.

Ramiz Raja is of the opinion that the PSL model has to switch to auction from next year, however, he wants to discuss it first with the franchises. According to him, the timing is perfect and the time has come for the PCB to create financially independent properties.

All-rounder Hardik Pandya has reported to the NCA in Bengaluru and is expected to undergo a fitness test. Hardik was drafted in by the Gujarat Titans ahead of IPL 2022 mega auction for INR 15 Crore and was made the skipper of the franchise as well. The Indian management has been monitoring him in his fitness developments for the past six months.

The Baroda lad was last seen in action during the T20 World Cup 2021 but managed to find a Grade C central contract with the Indian team. The 28-year-old is clearly still in the scheme of things for the upcoming T20 World Cup this year and it is also understood that he had bowled in the Gujarat Titans five-day camp as well for two sessions.

Rishabh Pant was at his destructive best during the recently-concluded Test series against Sri Lanka, which India won 2-0. The southpaw made his bat talk and slammed 185 runs in three innings. Moreover, his strike rate was over 120 as most of the Lankan bowlers looked utterly clueless against him. Pant was exceptional behind the stumps as well and his heroics earned him the Player-of-the-Series award.

It must be noted that Pant’s wicketkeeping skills has been a subject of debate in the cricket circle in recent years. While his destructive batting has taken India to some memorable wins, his mistakes behind the stumps has also cost the team at times. Nonetheless, the 24-y
