ജാപ്പനീസ് വാഹന നിര്‍മ്മാതാക്കളായ ടൊയോട്ടയുടെ എട്ടാം തലമുറ കാംറി ഹൈബ്രിഡ് ഇലക്ട്രിക് സെഡാന്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വിപണിയിലെത്തി.
ഇറക്കുമതി വഴിയെത്തുന്ന വാഹനം ടൊയോട്ടയുടെ കര്‍ണാടകയിലെ ബിഡാഡി പ്ലാന്റില്‍ അസംബ്ലിള്‍ ചെയ്താണ് വിപണിയിലെത്തുന്നത്. 36.95 ലക്ഷം രൂപയാണ് വാഹനത്തിന് ദില്ലി എക്‌സ്‌ഷോറൂം വില.
ഗ്ലോബല്‍ ആര്‍ക്കിടെക്ചര്‍ പ്ലാറ്റ്‌ഫോമില്‍ നിര്‍മിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന വാഹനത്തിന് മുന്‍ മോഡലിനെക്കാള്‍ 35 എംഎം നീളവും 15 എംംഎം വീതിയും 25 എംഎം ഉയരവും അധികമുണ്ട്. എല്‍ഇഡി ഡിആര്‍എല്‍ നല്‍കിയിട്ടുള്ള പുതിയ പ്രൊജക്ഷന്‍ ഹെഡ്‌ലാമ്പ്, രണ്ട് ഭാഗങ്ങളായി നല്‍കിയിട്ടുള്ള ഗ്രില്‍, വലിയ എയര്‍ഡാം, പുതിയ ബമ്പര്‍, 17 ഇഞ്ച് അലോയി വീല്‍ എന്നിങ്ങനെ രൂപത്തിലും ഭാവത്തിലും ഏറെ പുതുമകളുമായാണ് പുതിയ കാംറി എത്തുന്നത്.
ഇന്റീരിയറില്‍ പുതുതായി കൂടുതല്‍ ഫീച്ചറുകള്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
വുഡന്‍ പാനലിങ് നല്‍കിയിട്ടുള്ള ഡാഷ്ബോര്‍ഡ്, സെന്റര്‍ കണ്‍സോളിന് അലങ്കാരമായി 8 ഇഞ്ച് ടച്ച് സ്‌ക്രീന്‍ ഇന്‍ഫോടെയ്ന്‍മെന്റ് സിസ്റ്റം, 10 ഇഞ്ച് ഹെഡ് അപ്പ് ഡിസ്‌പ്ലേ, 7 ഇഞ്ച് ഇന്‍സ്ട്രുമെന്റ് ക്ലസ്റ്റര്‍, മള്‍ട്ട് ഫങ്ഷന്‍ സ്റ്റിയറിങ് വീല്‍ എന്നിവയാണ് ഇന്റീരിയറിനെ കൂടുതല്‍ ആകര്‍ഷകമാക്കുന്നത്.
മുമ്പ് പെട്രോള്‍ എന്‍ജിനിലും കാംറി ലഭ്യമായിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ ഇനി ഹൈബ്രിഡ് വകഭേദം മാത്രമേയുള്ളു. 88kW ഇലക്ട്രിക് മോട്ടോറിനൊപ്പം 2.5 ലിറ്റര്‍ ഫോര്‍ സിലിണ്ടര്‍ പെട്രോള്‍ എന്‍ജിനാണ് വാഹനത്തിന് കരുത്തേകുക.
ഇവ രണ്ടും ചേര്‍ന്ന് 208 ബിഎച്ച്പി പവര്‍ നല്‍കും.
പെട്രോള്‍ എന്‍ജിനില്‍ മാത്രം 176 ബിഎച്ച്പി പവറും 221 എന്‍എം ടോര്‍ക്കും ലഭിക്കും. ആറ് സ്പീഡ് സിവിടി ഓട്ടോമാറ്റിക് ഗിയര്‍ബോക്‌സാണ് ട്രാന്‍സ്‍മിഷന്‍.
പത്ത് എയര്‍ബാഗുകള്‍, ടൊയോട്ട സ്റ്റാര്‍ സേഫ്റ്റി സിസ്റ്റം എന്നിവയ്‌ക്കൊപ്പം സ്റ്റെബിലിറ്റി കണ്‍ട്രോള്‍, ട്രാക്ഷന്‍ കണ്‍ട്രോള്‍, എബിഎസ്, ഇബിഡി, ബ്രേക്ക് അസിസ്റ്റ്, സ്മാര്‍ട്ട് സ്റ്റോപ്പ് ടെക്‌നോളജി തുടങ്ങിയവ വാഹനത്തിന്‍റെ സുരക്ഷഉറപ്പാക്കും.

ആഗോളതലത്തില്‍ ടൊയോട്ടയുടെ ഹൈബ്രിഡ് കാറുകള്‍ പരിശോധനയ്ക്കായി തിരികെ വിളിക്കുന്നു. ഏകദേശം 24 ലക്ഷം വാഹനങ്ങളാണ് തിരികെ വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. 2008 ഒക്ടോബറിനും 2014 നവംബറിനുമിടയില്‍ നിര്‍മിച്ച ടൊയോട്ട പ്രിയസ്, ടൊയോട്ട ഔറിസ് തുടങ്ങിയ ഹൈബ്രിഡ് വാഹനങ്ങളിലുള്ള ഹൈബ്രിഡ് സംവിധാനത്തിലെ തകരാര്‍ മൂലം ഓട്ടത്തിനിടയില്‍ നിന്ന് പോകാനുള്ള സാധ്യത കണക്കിലെടുത്താണ് കമ്പനിയുടെ നടപടി.ടൊയോട്ടയുടെ മാതൃ രാജ്യമായ ജപ്പാനില്‍ മാത്രം പത്ത് ലക്ഷത്തിലധികം വാഹനങ്ങളാണ് തിരച്ച് വിളിക്കേണ്ടി വരുന്നത്. നോര്‍ത്ത് അമേരിക്കയില്‍ നിന്ന് 8.3 ലക്ഷം കാറുകള്‍, യൂറോപ്പില്‍ 2.9 ലക്ഷം കാറുകള്‍, ചൈനയില്‍ 3000 കാറുകളുമാണ് തിരിച്ച് വിളിക്കുന്നത്. ലോകത്തെ മറ്റ് പല രാജ്യങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നും ടൊയോട്ടയുടെ ഹൈബ്രിഡ് വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ തിരിച്ച് വിളിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. എന്നാല്‍, വാഹനങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണം സംബന്ധിച്ച കാര്യത്തില്‍ വ്യക്തതയില്ലെന്നാണ് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍.1997 മുതല്‍ പ്രിയസ് ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ ഒരു കോടിയിലധികം ഹൈബ്രിഡ് ഗ്യാസോലിന്‍ ഇലക്ട്രിക് വാഹനങ്ങളാണ് ടൊയോട്ട ആഗോളതലത്തില്‍ വിറ്റത്. എയര്‍ബാഗ്, ഫ്യൂവല്‍ എമിഷന്‍ കണ്‍ട്രോള്‍ യൂണിറ്റ് എന്നിവയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് 2016-ല്‍ ടൊയോട്ട ആഗോളതലത്തില്‍ 33.7 ലക്ഷം കാറുകള്‍ തിരിച്ചുവിളിച്ചിരുന്നു.
