വിദേശത്ത് അറസ്റ്റിലായ മുംബൈയിലെ കുപ്രസിദ്ധ കുറ്റവാളി രവി പൂജാരിയെ വിട്ടുകിട്ടണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് കൊച്ചി സിറ്റി പോലീസ് ഇൻറർപോളിനെ സമീപിച്ചു. ബ്യൂട്ടിപാർലർ വെടിവെപ്പ് കേസിൽ പ്രതിയാണെന്നും, തെളിവെടുപ്പിന് ആവശ്യമാണെന്നും കാണിച്ചാണ് കത്തയച്ചത്. എന്നാൽ പൂജാരിയെ ഇന്ത്യയിലേക്ക് എന്ന എത്തിക്കുമെന്ന് കാര്യത്തിൽ തന്നെ ഇനിയും വ്യക്തത ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല. നടി ലീന മരിയ പോൾ കൊച്ചിയിൽ നടത്തുന്ന ബ്യൂട്ടിപാർലറിന് നേരെ ആക്രമണം ഉണ്ടായത് ഇക്കഴിഞ്ഞ ഡിസംബർ 15ന്. ബൈക്കിലെത്തിയ രണ്ടംഗസംഘം വെടിയുതിർത്ത് മടങ്ങുമ്പോൾ അധോലോക കുറ്റവാളി രവി പൂജാരിയുടെ പേരെഴുതിയ കടലാസ് സ്ഥലത്ത് ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചതായിരുന്നു ആദ്യ സൂചന. 25 കോടി ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് തൊട്ടുമുൻപുള്ള ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ പൂജാരി ഫോണിൽ ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടതായി ലീന മരിയ മൊഴിയും നൽകി.
റെക്കോർഡ് ചെയ്ത സംഭാഷണം പരിശോധിച്ച് ശബ്ദം പൂജാരിയുടേതെന്ന് ഉറപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
എന്നാൽ വിദേശത്ത് കഴിയുന്ന പൂജാരിയെ കിട്ടാൻ ഒരു വഴിയുമില്ലാതിരിക്കെ വെടിവയ്പിന് ഏർപ്പാട് ചെയ്ത പ്രാദേശിക ക്രിമിനൽ സംഘങ്ങളെ കണ്ടെത്താനായിരുന്നു അന്വേഷണം. ഇതിനിടെയാണ് ഒട്ടും പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാതെ മറ്റൊരു കേസിൽ ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കയിൽ അറസ്റ്റ് നടക്കുന്നത്‌. ഇന്ത്യയിലേക്ക് എത്തിക്കാൻ ചാരസംഘടനയായ റോയും ഇന്റലിജൻസ് ബ്യൂറോയും ശ്രമം തുടരുമ്പോഴാണ് കൊച്ചി പോലീസും ഇടപെടുന്നത്. വെടിവയ്പ് കേസിന്റെ വിശദാംശങ്ങൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തി സിബിഐ മുഖേന ഇന്റർപോളിന് കത്തയച്ചത് ആദ്യപടിയാണ്. കർണാടക മഹാരാഷ്ട്ര രാജസ്ഥാൻ തുടങ്ങി പല നാടുകളിലായി 70ലേറെ കേസുകൾ പൂജാരിയുടെ പേരിലുണ്ട്. വർഷങ്ങൾ പഴക്കമുള്ള ഈ കേസുകൾ നിലനിൽക്കെ കൊച്ചിയിലെ കേസിനായി വിട്ടുകിട്ടുക സാധാരണ നിലയിൽ എളുപ്പമല്ല.
അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് മുൻകൂർ അവകാശവാദം ഉന്നയിച്ച് കത്തയച്ചത്.

15 വര്‍ഷമായി പോലീസ് തേടുന്നയാളാണ് ഒട്ടേറെ കേസുകളില്‍ പ്രതിയാണ് ഇയാള്‍. ഇയാള്‍ക്കെതിരേ ബെംഗളൂരു പോലീസ് റെഡ് കോര്‍ണര്‍ നോട്ടീസ് പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.എന്നാല്‍, പുജാരിയുടെ അറസ്റ്റ് ഔദ്യോഗികമായി സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. അറസ്റ്റ് സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചാല്‍ പുജാരിയെ വിട്ടുനല്‍കണമെന്നാവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് ഇന്ത്യ സെനഗല്‍ അധികൃതരെ സമീപിക്കും. പുജാരിയെ വിട്ടുനല്‍കാന്‍ സെനഗല്‍ പോലീസ് അനുകൂല നിലപാടെടുത്തുവെന്നും പ്രത്യേക വിമാനത്തില്‍ ഇയാളെ ഇന്ത്യയിലെത്തിക്കുമെന്നും സ്ഥിരീകരിക്കാത്ത റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകളുണ്ട്. കൊച്ചിയിലെ പനമ്പിള്ളിനഗറില്‍ നടി ലീനാ മരിയാ പോളിന്റെ ബ്യൂട്ടിപാര്‍ലറില്‍ വെടിവെപ്പ് നടത്തിയതിനുപിന്നില്‍ രവി പുജാരിയാണെന്ന് പോലീസ് അടുത്തിടെ നിഗമനത്തിലെത്തിയിരുന്നു.
ലീന മരിയ പോളിന്റെ ബ്യൂട്ടി പാര്‍ലറിനു സമീപം വെടിയുതിര്‍ത്തവര്‍ അവിടെയിട്ടിട്ടു പോയ കടലാസില്‍ ഹിന്ദിയില്‍ രവി പൂജാരി എന്ന് എഴുതിയിരുന്നു.
പിന്നീട് മാധ്യമ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലേക്കടക്കം ഫോണ്‍ വിളിച്ച് വെടിവെപ്പിന്റെ ഉത്തരവാദിത്തം ഏറ്റെടുക്കുകയും ലീന മരിയ പോള്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെട്ട പണം തട്ടിപ്പിന് പിന്നില്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചയാളെ കൊലപ്പെടുത്തുമെന്ന് ഭീഷണി മുഴക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു.ജെ.എന്‍.യു. വിദ്യാര്‍ഥി ഉമര്‍ ഖാലിദ്, കശ്മീരിലെ ഹുറിയത്ത് നേതാവ് സയ്യിദ് അലി ഷാ ഗീലാനി എന്നിവരുള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ള 'ഇന്ത്യാവിരുദ്ധരെ' എല്ലാം ഇല്ലാതാക്കുമെന്ന് പുജാരി ഭീഷണിമുഴക്കിയിരുന്നു.
അധോലോക കുറ്റവാളികളായ ഛോട്ടാ രാജന്‍, ദാവൂദ് ഇബ്രാഹിം എന്നിവര്‍ക്കൊപ്പം പുജാരി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
തൊണ്ണൂറുകളുടെ പകുതിയില്‍ ദാവൂദ് ഇബ്രാഹിമിന്റെ ഡി-കമ്പനിയുടെ വലകൈയായിരുന്നു പുജാരിയും ഛോട്ടാ ഷക്കീലും.

ഇതിന്റെ പ്രചാരത്തിനായി പോലീസ് പോസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്ത പോസ്റ്റും വൈറലായി കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. ചട്ടമ്പിനാട് എന്ന സിനിമയിലെ സുരാജ് വെഞ്ഞാറമൂടിന്റെ കഥാപാത്രത്തെ ആസ്പദമാക്കിയുള്ള ട്രോളാണ് പോലീസ് ഇതിനായി ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ലൈക്കുകളുടെ എണ്ണത്തില്‍ ബെംഗളൂരു പോലീസിനേയും ന്യൂയോര്‍ക്ക് പോലീസിനേയും മറികടന്ന കേരളപോലീസ് പുതുവര്‍ഷത്തില്‍ 13 ലക്ഷത്തിലധികം ഫോളോവേഴ്‌സുള്ള നേപ്പാള്‍ പോലീസിനെയാണ് നോട്ടമിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്.
നിലവില്‍ 9.55 ലക്ഷത്തോളം ലൈക്കാണ് കേരള പോലീസ് ഫെയ്‌സ്ബുക്ക് പേജിനുള്ളത്.
ഇതിനിടെ നേപ്പാള്‍ പോലീസിനെതിരെയുള്ള ലൈക്ക് ഭീഷണി ചില മലയാളികള്‍ അവരുടെ ഫെയ്‌സ്ബുക്ക് പേജിലും ഉയര്‍ത്തി. തങ്ങളുടെ പോസ്റ്റുകള്‍ക്കടിയില്‍ വ്യാപകമായി മലയാളത്തിലുള്ള സന്ദേശങ്ങള്‍ വന്നതോടെ നേപ്പാള്‍ പോലീസ് കാര്യം മനസ്സിലാകാതെ ഒരുവേള കമന്റ് ബോക്‌സ് അടച്ചുപൂട്ടി. പിന്നീട് കാര്യം മനസ്സിലായപ്പോള്‍ വീണ്ടും തുറന്നു.
ഈ അവസരത്തിൽ തന്നെ കേരള പോലീസിന്റെ നവമാധ്യമ ഇടപെടലുകളെക്കുറിച്ച് മൈക്രോസോഫ്റ്റ് പഠനം നടത്തുന്നു.
പൊതുജനസമ്പർക്കത്തിനുള്ള പോലീസിന്റെ നവമാധ്യമ ഉപയോഗം, അതിന്റെ സ്വാധീനം എന്നിവ വിലയിരുത്തുന്ന ഗവേഷണത്തിന് ഇന്ത്യയിൽനിന്ന് തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തത് കേരള പോലീസിനെയാണ്. ഫെയ്സ്ബുക്കിൽ നടത്തിയ ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ മുന്നേറ്റങ്ങളുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലാണ് കേരള പോലീസിനെ പഠനത്തിനായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തത്. നവമാധ്യമങ്ങളിലൂടെ പൊതുജനങ്ങളുമായുള്ള ആശയവിനിമയത്തിന് കേരള പോലീസിന് ലഭിക്കുന്ന ജനപിന്തുണയും പഠനവിഷയമാകും.
