ക്ലാസ്സിൽ കൂട്ട് പോയ വളർത്തു നായ്ക്ക് ഓണറബിൾ ഡിപ്ലോമ നൽകി ആദരിച്ചു .സംഭവം നടന്നത് ന്യൂയോർക്ക് യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിലാണ് . കാലിനു ചലനശേഷിയില്ലാതെ വീൽ ചെയറിലിരുന്ന് ജീവിതം തള്ളി നീക്കുന്ന ബ്രിട്ട്നി ഹാവ്ലി, മാസ്റ്റർ ഡിഗ്രി സ്വന്തമാക്കിയപ്പോഴാണ്‌ ഇവരുടെ സന്തത സഹചാരി കൂടിയായ നാലുവയസുള്ള ഗ്രിഫിൻ എന്ന വളർത്തുനായക്കും ഡിപ്ലോമ നൽകി ആദരിച്ചത് . ന്യൂയോർക്കിലെ പോട്സ്ഡാമിലുള്ള ക്ലാർക്ക്സണ്‍ യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയാണ് ഇത്തരത്തിൽ നായക്കും ഡിപ്ലോമ നൽകിയത് . ഒക്കുപ്പേഷണൽ തെറാപ്പിയിലാണ് 25 വയസുകാരിയായ ബ്രിട്ട്നി ഡിഗ്രി സ്വന്തമാക്കിയത്. ഡിഗ്രി സ്വന്തമാക്കിയ ശേഷമുള്ള ഇരുവരുടെയും ഒരുമിച്ചുള്ള ചിത്രങ്ങളും ഇപ്പോൾ സോഷ്യൽ മീഡിയയിൽ തരംഗമാവുകയാണ് .കടുത്ത ശരീര വേദന ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള എല്ലാ വെല്ലുവിളികളെയും അതിജീവിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുള്ളതാണ് ഹൌളിയുടെ ജീവിതം.ബ്രിട്ട്നിയും ഗ്രിഫിനും തമ്മിലുള്ള ആത്മബന്ധം നാളുകൾക്കു മുൻപെ തുടങ്ങിയതാണ്. കാലിനു ചലനശേഷിയില്ലാത്ത ബ്രിട്ട്നിക്ക് എന്തു സഹായത്തിനും ഗ്രിഫിൻ കൈയെത്തും ദൂരെ തന്നെയുണ്ടായിരുന്നു . വാതിൽ തുറക്കാനും ലൈറ്റിടാനും , ഫോണ്‍ എടുക്കുവാനും , ലേസർ പോയിന്റ് കൊണ്ട് അവൾ ചൂണ്ടി കാട്ടുന്ന സാധനങ്ങൾ എടുത്തകൊടുക്കാനുമൊക്കെ ഗ്രിഫിൻറെ സഹായമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു . ബ്രിട്ട്നീ ഹൌളിയുടെ വീൽ ചെയർ ജീവിതത്തിൽ മാത്രമല്ല ക്ലാസ്സിൽ പോകുമ്പോഴെല്ലാം എന്തിനും ഏതിനുമൊരു കൂട്ടായി ഗ്രിഫിനുമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.മാനസികസമ്മർദം അനുഭവിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഗ്രിഫിൻ എനിക്ക് വലിയ ആശ്വാസമാണ് നൽകുന്നതെന്നാണ് ബ്രിട്ട്നി പറയുന്നത്.എല്ലാ ദിവസവും ബ്രിട്ട്നിക്കൊപ്പം യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിൽ എത്തുന്ന ഗ്രിഫിൻ ഇവർക്ക് ശരിക്കും ഒരു സഹായം തന്നെയാണ്. പഠനത്തിന്‍റെ ഭാഗമായുള്ള ഇന്‍റൻഷിപ്പിൽ രോഗികളെ പരിചരിക്കുവാൻ പോയ ബ്രിട്ട്നിക്ക് കൂട്ടായി ഗ്രിഫിൻ അവിടെയും എത്തിയിരുന്നു. വെസ്റ്റ് വിർജീനിയ ജയിലിലെ തടവുകാർ പരിശീലിപ്പിച്ച നായ്ക്കളിൽ നിന്നാണ് ഗ്രിഫിനെ ഹൌളിക്ക് കിട്ടുന്നത്.ഇഷ്ട്ടമുള്ള നായയെ നാം തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുകയല്ല ,ഇഷ്ടമുള്ളയാളെ നായ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന രീതിയാണിവിടെയെന്ന് ഹൌളി പറയുന്നു . ഹൌളയുടെ വീൽചെയർ കണ്ട് മറ്റ് നായ്ക്കൾ വിരണ്ടപ്പോൾ ഗ്രിഫിൻ സ്നേഹത്തോടെ മടിയിൽ ചാടി കയറി ഇരിക്കുകയായിരുന
