കൊച്ചിയില്‍ റോഡ് സുരക്ഷയോടനുബന്ധിച്ചാണ് 'നമ്പര്‍പ്ലേറ്റ് ഓപ്പറേഷന്‍' ശക്തമാക്കുന്നത്. ബൈക്കുകളിലെ നമ്പര്‍ പ്ലേറ്റുകളിലാണ് ചിത്രപ്പണി കൂടുതല്‍.
ഇത്തരം വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ അപകടത്തില്‍പ്പെട്ട് നിര്‍ത്താതെ പോകുമ്പോള്‍ നമ്പര്‍ മനസ്സിലാക്കാന്‍ പോലും ദൃക്സാക്ഷികള്‍ക്ക് സാധിക്കാറില്ല. ചില വാഹനങ്ങളില്‍ 3, 4, 6, 8, 9 തുടങ്ങിയ നമ്പറുകള്‍ വായിച്ചെടുക്കാന്‍ പലപ്പോഴും സാധിക്കാറില്ലെന്ന് പോലീസും പറയുന്നു. മോട്ടോര്‍ വാഹന നിയമം 177-ാം വകുപ്പ് പ്രകാരം പിഴത്തുക വളരെ കുറവായതിനാല്‍ 39, 192 വകുപ്പുകള്‍ കൂടി ചേര്‍ത്ത് രണ്ടായിരം മുതല്‍ 5000 രൂപ വരെ പിഴ ഈടാക്കാനും തീരുമാനിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
ഇതിനൊപ്പം റോഡ് പരിശോധന നടത്തി പിഴ ഈടാക്കും. നിയമപ്രകാരം ലൈറ്റ്, മീഡിയം, ഹെവി പൊതുവാഹനങ്ങളുടെ പിന്നിലും വശങ്ങളിലും രണ്ടുവരിയില്‍ നമ്പര്‍ എഴുതണം. മോട്ടോര്‍ കാര്‍, ടാക്സി കാര്‍ എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് മാത്രം മുന്നിലും പിന്നിലും ഒറ്റവരി നമ്പര്‍ മതി. മറ്റ് വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മുന്‍വശത്തെ നമ്പര്‍ ഒറ്റവരിയായി എഴുതാം.
നിയമം ലംഘിച്ചാല്‍ ഇരുചക്ര, മുച്ചക്ര വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് രണ്ടായിരം രൂപ, ലൈറ്റ് വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മൂവായിരം, മീഡിയം വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് നാലായിരം, ഹെവി വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് 5000 എന്നിങ്ങനെയാണ് പിഴ. നമ്പര്‍ ചരിച്ചെഴുതുക, വ്യക്തത ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കുക, നമ്പര്‍പ്ലേറ്റില്‍ മറ്റെന്തെങ്കിലും എഴുതുകയോ പതിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യുക, നമ്പര്‍പ്ലേറ്റിലെ അക്ഷരങ്ങളും അക്കങ്ങളും ഇളകിപ്പോകുക, മാഞ്ഞുപോവുക തുടങ്ങിയവയും കുറ്റകരമാണ്. നമ്പര്‍പ്ലേറ്റ് എഴുതി നല്‍കുന്ന സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളും ഇക്കാര്യത്തില്‍ ജാഗ്രത പാലിക്കണമെന്ന് എറണാകുളം ആര്‍ടിഒ കെ.എം. ഷാജി അറിയിച്ചു.

അമിതപിഴ ഈടാക്കുന്നത് നിര്‍ത്തണമെന്ന് ഏപ്രില്‍ നാലിന് ഹൈക്കോടതി ഉത്തരവിട്ടിരുന്നു.
രജിസ്ട്രേഷനടക്കമുള്ള സേവനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് അപേക്ഷ വൈകിയാലും ഉടമകള്‍ ഇനി അധികപിഴ നല്‍കേണ്ടെന്ന് മോട്ടോര്‍വാഹന വകുപ്പ് ഉത്തരവ്.അപേക്ഷ വൈകുന്ന ഓരോ ദിവസത്തിനും 50 രൂപയെന്ന കേന്ദ്ര മോട്ടോര്‍വാഹന നിയമപ്രകാരമുള്ള പിഴസംഖ്യ ഈടാക്കുന്നത് നിര്‍ത്താനാണ് നിര്‍ദേശം. മുന്‍പത്തേതുപോലെ മാസം 100 മുതല്‍ 200 രൂപവരെ എന്ന തോതിലാകും ഇനി പിഴ ഈടാക്കുക.
കേന്ദ്ര മോട്ടോര്‍വാഹന നിയമം നിലവില്‍വന്ന 2016 ഡിസംബര്‍ 29-നു മുന്‍പ് ചുമത്തിയിരുന്ന പിഴയേ ഈടാക്കാനാവൂ. ഇത് പാലിക്കാത്ത ജില്ലാ ട്രാന്‍സ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ഓഫീസര്‍മാര്‍ക്കെതിരേ കര്‍ശനനടപടി സ്വീകരിക്കും.ഇത് നടപ്പാക്കാന്‍ മോട്ടോര്‍വാഹന വകുപ്പ് തയ്യാറായിരുന്നില്ല. ഇത് നിര്‍ത്തണമെന്നാവശ്യപ്പെട്ട ട്രാന്‍സ്പോര്‍ട്ട് കമ്മിഷണര്‍ ഏപ്രില്‍ 27-ന് കത്ത് നല്‍കിയിരുന്നെങ്കിലും ആര്‍.ടി.ഓഫീസുകളില്‍ നടപ്പാക്കിയില്ല. കോടതി ഉത്തരവ് നടപ്പാക്കാത്തത് കോടതി അലക്ഷ്യമാകുന്നതിനുള്ള സാധ്യത തെളിഞ്ഞതോടെയാണ് കര്‍ശന ഉത്തരവുമായി കമ്മിഷണര്‍ രംഗത്തെത്തിയത്.

Association for Social Health in India (ASHI) is a Voluntary and Social Organization aiming at challenging those conditions that lead to exploitation of women and children for anti-social purposes by providing shelter for Destitute & Orphan children and arranging for their education, vocational training and rehabilitation are one of the Association’s main activities. The Governor of Haryana, their Chief Patron, visits the Home once a year to encourage and bless the children.
