Australian batting stalwart Marnus Labuschagne has opened up on facing Indian spin bowling legend Ravichandran Ashwin. Labuschagne stated that Ashwin is good at assessing batters, and added that that is the reason why he enjoys facing Ashwin.

Labuschagne also said that the best part of his battle with Ashwin was the field placements in place for him. The Aussie batter also said that his battle with Ashwin felt like a chess game to him.

As per the latest developments, Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is set to miss the two-match Test series against South Africa, scheduled in March-April. The southpaw will be available for the preceding three-match ODI series, which is scheduled to end on March 24. He’ll then leave for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, which is scheduled to get underway in the last week of March if any side picks him.

It must be noted that Shakib had also missed the New Zealand Tests last month. Not too long ago, the 34-year-old also revealed that he was contemplating his Test future going forward as it was getting harder for him to play all three formats. Meanwhile, an earlier report suggested that the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has informed BCCI regarding Shakib’s unavailability from May 8 to 23 amid the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka.

Deepak Hooda made his ODI debut for the Indian side in the 1st ODI against the West Indies. And, Hooda has now revealed that his dream was to get his debut ODI cap from either Virat Kohli or MS Dhoni.

Hooda also stated that he has worked hard for representing the Indian side and stated that he feels blessed to be a part of the Indian cricket team. Hooda also said that getting the Indian ODI cap from Kohli was amazing.
