A Delhi court on Wednesday sentenced Kashmir's separatist leader Yasin Malik to life imprisonment. The court has sentenced life imprisonment in two separate cases of terror funding. Apart from this, a fine of Rs 10 lakh has also been imposed on Yasin Malik. Special NIA Judge Praveen Singh awarded different terms for different offenses under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act and the Indian Penal Code. All the sentences will run concurrently. Malik was sentenced to life imprisonment for two offenses - 'waging war against the Government of India' and 'raising funds for terrorist activities'.

दिल्ली की एक अदालत ने बुधवार को कश्मीर के अलगाववादी नेता यासीन मलिक को उम्रकैद की सजा सुनाई। अदालत ने टेरर फंडिंग के दो अलग-अलग मामलों में उम्रकैद की सजा सुनाई है। इसके अलावा यासीन मलिक पर 10 लाख रुपए का जुर्माना भी लगाया गया है। स्पेशल NIA जज प्रवीण सिंह ने गैर-कानूनी गतिविधियां रोकथाम अधिनियम और भारतीय दंड संहिता के तहत विभिन्न अपराधों के लिए अलग-अलग अवधि की सजा सुनाईं। सभी सजाएं साथ-साथ चलेंगी। मलिक को दो अपराधों - 'भारत सरकार के खिलाफ युद्ध छेड़ना' और 'आतंकवादी गतिविधियों के लिए राशि जुटाने' के लिए दोषी ठहराते हुए उम्रकैद की सजा सुनाई गई। इससे पहले सजा सुनाने के के लिए कोर्ट रूम लाए गए यासीन मलिक ने कोर्ट से कहा, ”मैं कुछ नहीं कहूंगा, आपको जो सज़ा देनी है दे दीजिये।''
