Separatist leader Yasin Malik has been sentenced to life imprisonment by a special NIA court for being found guilty in terror funding. Yasin was brought to the court from Tihar Jail amid tight security in Delhi on Wednesday. Yasin Malik had confessed during the hearing that he was involved in terrorist activities in Kashmir. However, from collecting solid papers against the Hurriyat to expelling secrets from the people and then catching the owner with evidence in this case, it was not that easy. In a media report, the then chief of the NIA and officials involved in the investigation at the time explained how the agency gathered strong evidence against Malik.

टेरर फंडिंग में दोषी पाए जाने पर अलगाववादी नेता यासीन मलिक को NIA की स्पेशल कोर्ट ने उम्रकैद की सजा सुनाई है। दिल्ली में बुधवार को कड़ी सुरक्षा के बीच यासीन को तिहाड़ जेल से कोर्ट लाया गया था। यासीन मलिक ने सुनवाई के दौरान कबूल कर लिया था कि वह कश्मीर में आतंकी गतिविधियों में शामिल था। हालांकि, हुर्रियत के खिलाफ पुख्ता कागजात इकट्ठा करने से लेकर लोगों से राज उगलवाना और फिर इस मामले में मालिक को सबूत के साथ पकड़ना इतना आसान नहीं था। एक मीडिया रिपोर्ट में NIA के तत्कालीन चीफ और उस समय जांच में शामिल अधिकारियों ने बताया कि एजेंसी ने मलिक के खिलाफ पुख्ता सबूत कैसे जुटाए।
