Kullu . Director General of Himachal Police Sanjay Kundu has said that 14 tunnels are being constructed in the four-lane stretch from Gadhamora to Kullu, out of which 5 tunnels have been opened for traffic on a trial basis. Equipped devices have been installed in which weather information will also be available through metrological devices. He said that video accident detection system, variation traffic sign system, driver feedback system, emergency call boxes, vehicle radar speed system are being installed in the traffic system. He said that last year more than 12 lakh vehicles passed through Atal Tunnel Rohtang and last month 57 thousand vehicles crossed through Atal Tunnel Rohtang. The number of tourist vehicles is likely to be more than 20 lakh in this tourist season. For which additional police personnel will be deployed for Kullu district and Lahaul-Spiti.
