Una (Himachal Pradesh) : Himachal DGP Sanjay Kundu visited the district Una today and inspected the border and mining areas. Meanwhile, at the press conference in Una, DGP Sanjay Kundu said that he visited several areas to check the Corona curfew arrangements and the functioning of the police has been satisfactory during this period. Kundu said that many police personnel have been infected while serving in the coronas, but no one ever withdrew from duty. Kundu said that the police is taking strong action against drug mafia and at the same time financial investigation of people involved in drug trade is also being conducted.

Director General of Himachal Police Sanjay Kundu has said that 14 tunnels are being constructed in the four-lane stretch from Gadhamora to Kullu, out of which 5 tunnels have been opened for traffic on a trial basis. He said that last year more than 12 lakh vehicles passed through Atal Tunnel Rohtang and last month 57 thousand vehicles crossed through Atal Tunnel Rohtang. The number of tourist vehicles is likely to be more than 20 lakh in this tourist season. For which additional police personnel will be deployed for Kullu district and Lahaul-Spiti.
