Kangra/Himachal Pradesh: This has been confirmed in the report from Bhopal that Migratory birds have died due to bird flu in Pong Lake. Alert has been issued in four sub-divisions of Kangra after the confirmation of bird flu. At the same time, Pong Lake has also been sealed. Kangra/Himachal Pradesh: There is continuous deaths of migratory birds in Pong lake of district Kangra. So far more than 600 migratory birds have been found dead at different places in Pong lake. DC Kangra Rakesh Prajapati has banned all activities in Pong lake till further orders. One kilometer area of Pong lake has been declared as alert zone. Any kind of human activitities and animals grazing is strictly prohibited in this area. The next nine kilometers of the alert zone have been made the surveillance zone. The department will keep a close watch in this area. All kinds of tourism activities have also been banned in Pong Dam. Police forces have been deployed along the banks of Pong Lake. If a person defies the rules, action will be taken against them.
