Had the water not been released recklessly even on days of heavy rain, the damage would not have been so much ahead of the Pandoh Dam. But Mandi town needs channelisation to save it from such havoc every time it rains. Where there is a city, there is a greater need to pay attention to its channelization. On Sunday, 89 days employees of BBMB held a meeting at BSL school ground in Sundernagar. These employees have been working in different positions in BBMB continuously for 15 to 20 years. But no policy was made by BBMB for these. Several times these people also met the BBMB chairman but apart from assurances, nothing was achieved.

भाखड़ा ब्यास प्रबंध बोर्ड की टीम आज मलाणा में बिजली परियोजना चरण दो के बांध आएगी। यहां पर बांध के गेट को खोलने का प्रयास किया जाएगा। पिछले चार दिनों से अब तक डैम के उपर से पानी बह रहा है। अभी तक मैनुअल तरीके से गेट को खोलने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है। लगातार बांध से ओवरफ्लो होकर बांध के गेट के उपर से पानी बह रहा है। खतरे को भांपते हुए जिला प्रशासन ने अब बीबीएमबी की टीम को बुलाया है।मलाणा में बिजली परियोजना चरण-दो के बांध का खतरा अभी भी बरकरार है। कभी भी मलाणा परियोजना-दो बांध का पानी व इसमें पानी में आई लकड़ियां तबाही मचा सकती है। हालांकि कुछ गाद को हटाया गया। इसको लेकर जिला कुल्लू प्रशासन सतर्क है।
