Captain Saurabh Kalia was the first martyr of the Kargil war. He and five other brace Indian soldiers were captured by the Pakistani army on May 15, 1999 and were barbarously tortured to death in gross violation of the international laws on Prisoners of War (PoW).
Pakistanis proved the extent to which they can degrade humanity. However, the Indian soldiers did not break while undergoing all this unimaginable barbarism, which speaks volumes of their patriotism, grit, determination, tenacity and valour -- something all of India should be proud of.

His ear drums pierced with hot iron rods, eyeballs carved out with knives, genitals chopped off, every bone broken and splintered. Still our spineless Government hesitate to take the issue further to UN Human Rights Council.
