Get ready for another zombie apocalypse in Hollywood, because one zombie classic is coming back to the big screen. If you haven't had your fill of zombies or remakes in Hollywood, well this may just do it for ya. The producers of Texas Chainsaw 3D are bringing back George Romero's 1985 zombie flick, Day of the Dead. Now, I know that many of you are going to grumble about another zombie movie. But hardcore zombie fans might actually like this remake because producer, Lati Grobman, wants to bring back a true zombie movie. He explains saying quote, 'Contrary to other recent zombie remakes, our Day of the Dead will honor Romero's original vision by reviving the slow, brooding zombie that terrorized so many of our childhoods. The trend of the fast, agile, 'sprinting' zombie creates a lot of great jump-out-of-your-seat moments, but it doesn't compare to the psychological fear and tension that builds when going up against Romero's original undead army'. Day of the Dead was the third movie in Romero's zombie trilogy, and follows the 1968 classic Night Of The Living Dead and the 1979 follow up Dawn Of The Dead. Grobman seems to want to find a cinematic balance between that classic zombie flick feel all the while still appealing to a modern audience, with a story that has quote 'both heart and brains - literally.'.
