GLEE star Cory Monteith has been found dead in a Vancouver hotel room, Canadian police have confirmed.
The 31-year-old actor, who played Finn in the popular TV series, reportedly died of a drug overdose.
Monteith, who had been battling substance abuse and had a stint in rehab last April, checked into the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel on July 6.
The Canadian actor, who was engaged to his Glee co-star Lea Michele, was due to leave the hotel today. Staff became concerned when he failed to check out on time. They went to his room and discovered his body at midday, local time.

Glee star Cory Monteith has been found dead in a Vancouver hotel, police say.
The 31-year-old, who played Finn Hudson in the Fox TV hit, was found dead at the Pacific Rim Hotel in the city centre on Saturday, said police.
The cause of death was not immediately apparent, police say, but foul play has been ruled out.
Monteith, who had been in the musical comedy since its 2009 start, was treated for drug addiction in April, and had a history of substance-abuse.
His body was found by Pacific Rim staff after he missed his check-out time on Saturday, said Vancouver's Deputy Police Chief Doug Lepard.
He had returned to his room at the Pacific Rim alone early on Saturday morning having been out with friends earlier in the evening, said Deputy Police Chief Lepard.
Coroner Lisa Lapointe said: 'We do not have a great deal of information as to cause of death.'
Monteith had been dating Lea Michele, who played his opposite number Rachel Berry in Glee, which follows a group of American secondary school misfits in their quest for singing contest glory.
She loved and supported her long-term boyfriend and was proud he was seeking help, she told People magazine at the time.

He had been frank about his struggles with substance abuse, telling Parade magazine in 2011 that he began using drugs at 13, and by 19 went into rehab after his mother and friends intervened.
Monteith had been on the musical comedy show since it began in 2009.
In 2011, he won a Teen Choice award for top actor in a comedy. The show's cast won a Screen Actors Guild award for an ensemble in a comedy the prior year.
