The jurors deliberating child sex abuse charges against Jerry Sandusky have asked to rehear testimony from Mike McQueary, a onetime graduate assistant who reported seeing Sandusky assault a boy in a Penn State shower, as well as the testimony of Dr. Jonathan Dranov, who told the jury that McQueary gave him a different account of what he saw.
The jury, which includes nine people with close ties to PSU, made the request of Judge John Cleland on Thursday evening, more than seven hours after they began their deliberations.
Cleland told the jurors that McQueary's testimony was about two hours in length and Dranov's was about 20 minutes long and suggested they revisit the McQueary testimony Friday.
Meanwhile, just hours after the jury began its deliberations, lawyers for Matt Sandusky, one of Sandusky's six adopted children, issued a statement alleging that Sandusky abused him.
'During the trial, Matt Sandusky contacted us and requested our advice and assistance in arranging a meeting with prosecutors to disclose for the first time in this case that he is a victim of Jerry Sandusky's abuse,' Andrew Shubin and Justine Andronici said in the statement. The case tarnished one of the nation's premier collegiate athletics departments. Paterno was fired after 409 victories and two national titles. He died of cancer in January. President Graham Spanier, a leader at one time within college athletics, lost his job. Tim Curley, widely considered one of the nation's top athletic directors, lost his job. Curley still faces a trial on obstruction and failure to report charges.

A jury of Sandusky's Centre County, Pa., neighbors determined that the former Penn State defensive coordinator sexually abused children over a 15-year period, using his stature as a local coaching hero and his position with the Second Mile charity to target and then violate at-risk kids from the area.
The jury deliberated for about 20 hours after a trial that stretched across eight days at Centre County Courthouse. The jury foreman read the counts and said 'guilty' on six consecutive counts before saying 'not guilty' for the first time. He read all 48 counts.

Sandusky, wearing a brown blazer, stood motionless with his left hand in his pocket, his eyes on the jury. His wife, Dottie, and three of his adopted sons and one adopted daughter sat to his right. Matt Sandusky, their adopted son who Thursday said Jerry Sandusky had molested him, was not present.
Sandusky, who was escorted out of the courthouse in handcuffs, will be sentenced at a later date by Judge John Cleland. The precise number of years he faces in prison is unclear, but legal experts say it should be enough to lock the 68-year-old away for life.

The verdict was read count by count. Media was barred from transmitting any results of the verdict until adjournment, with the judge promising sanctions for any reporter or media organization violating his order and jurors did not grant any post-trial interviews.
