Motor Vehicles Department (MVD), organised an awareness cum counselling camp on road safety for Commercial Vehicle Drivers, here today.
District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Ravinder Kumar was the chief guest while Senior Superintendent of Police, Rayees Bhat was the guest of honour on the occasion.
200 drivers from Udhampur, Ramnagar, Majalta, Chenani and other different routes of Udhampur participated in the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, District Development Commissioner stressed upon the participants to follow the traffic rules and regulations and avoid over speeding, racing, rash driving and use of mobile phone while driving..

The main objective of the organisers is to create awareness among the Kashmiri students about traffic safety rules and regulations. This workshop will be conducted in 10 different higher secondary schools, across the Kashmir valley.
