परिवर्तन के लिये जरूरी होती है एक पहल की, और अगर वो पहल युवा हाँथों से शुरू हो तो तस्वीर बदलते देर नहीं लगती।
रिठाला यूथ ब्रिगेड भी ऐसे ही एक पहल का नाम है जो अब एक मुहीम बन चुका है।
कुछ सालों पहले तक इस गाँव को लोग गन्दगी के लिये जानते थे , और यही बात गाँव के कुछ युवाओं को खल गई।
गाँव के कुछ युवाओं ने एक टीम तैयार की और खुद ही साफ़ सफाई का बीड़ा उठा लिया। चुनौती मुश्किल थी लेकिन इतने बड़े गाँव को साफ़ और स्वच्छ बनाने का संकल्प तमाम मुश्किलों से भी मजबूत था।
जो हाँथ कल तक लग्ज़री गाड़ियों की स्टीयरिंग पर होते थे उन हाँथों ने अब झाड़ू थाम लिये थे और धूल मिटटी के बीच साफ़ सफाई का अभियान शुरू हो चुका था।
कुछ ही दिनों में तस्वीर बदलती दिखाई दी और रिठाला यूथ का जोश भी बढ़ता रहा। आज नतीजा ये है की गाँव के चारो एन्ट्री के साथ साथ गालियाँ और सड़कें भी साफ हैं। स्वच्छता के मामले में आज रिठाला एक आदर्श गाँव के रूप में जाना जाने लगा है।
रिठाला युथ ब्रिगेड के इस मुहीम की सराहना गाँव के बड़े बुजुर्ग भी बखूबी करते हैं।
बुजुर्गो का आशीर्वाद और समर्थन मिला तो रिठाला यूथ ने सफाई के साथ साथ सामाजिक, देशभक्ति और सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों का भी आयोजन किया। रिठाला क्षेत्र में शान से लहरा रहा यह तिरंगा झंडा भी रिठाला यूथ के प्रयासों से ही लगवाया गया है।
रिठाला गाँव का जो महाराणा प्रताप पार्क कभी नशेड़ियों का अड्डा हुआ करता था , वहां आज बड़े -बुजुर्ग , महिलाएँ और बच्चे आराम से घूम टहल और खेल कूद सकते हैं।

रिठाला के डीडीए पार्क में शान से लहराते इस विशाल तिरंगे की स्थापना भी रिठाला यूथ ब्रिगेड ने ही की थी --और आज इसी तिरंगे के निचे नेताजी सुभाष चंद्र बोस की जयंती को समारोह पूर्वक मनाया जा रहा है --राष्ट्रवाद की धुन के साथ हज़ारों की भीड़ यहाँ रागनी का आनंद ले रही थी।

ये रिठाला गाँव का महाराणा प्रताप पार्क है जो प्रसाशन और जनप्रतिनिधियों की अनदेखी के कारण कई सालों से कूड़े मलबे का भंडार और नशेरियों का अड्डा बना हुआ था . आज इसपर ट्रेक्टर चला कर जमीन की लेवेल्लिंग का काम कराया जा रहा है जिसके बाद इसको खेल के मैदान और पार्क के रूप में विकसित किया जायेगा . आपको बता दें की ये काम किसी जनप्रतिनिधि या सरकारी फण्ड से नहीं बल्कि रिठाला यूथ ब्रिगेड के प्रयासों से किया जा रहा है। वही रिठाला यूथ ब्रिगेड जिसने अपने गठन के बाद से ही गाँव और पूरे रिठाला क्षेत्र की तस्वीर बदलने का काम किया है। रिठाला यूथ का कहना है की जब इस पार्क के जीर्णोद्धार के लिये वो तमाम नेताओं और जनप्रतिनिधियों के पास गए तो उन्हें सिर्फ निराशा ही हाँथ लगी। लिहाजा , उन्होंने ठान लिया की अब वो इस पार्क की सुन्दरता वापस लाने का काम अपनी यूथ ब्रिगेड की निजी प्रयासों से ही कर दिखायेंगे।
रिठाला यूथ ब्रिगेड के प्रयास और कार्यशैली से यहाँ के स्थानीय लोग और व्यवसाई भी खासे प्रभावित हैं और जमकर उनकी सराहना भी कर रहे हैं।
अब पूरे रिठाला गाँव को इन्तजार है तो बस इस मैदान के कायाकल्प का , जिसके बाद यहाँ के युवाओं को नशे के जाल से निकाल कर उनका ध्यान खेल कूद की तरफ प्रोत्साहित करने की मुहीम भी रिठाला यूथ ब्रिगेड के द्वारा ही शुरू किया जायेगा।

दिल्ली के रिठाला इलाके में देर रात झुग्गियों में भीषण आग लग गई...और देखते ही देखते करीब 700 आशियाने उजड़ गए..तस्वीरें आपको दिखा रहे हैं जहां आग ने ऐसा तांडव मचाया कि सबकुछ जलकर खाक हो गया.. घटना देर रात करीब 2 बजे की है...जब अचानक आग ने विकराल रूप ले लिया... गनीमत रही की इस घटना में किसी के हताहत होने की खबर नहीं है... आग लगते ही वहां रहने वाले सभी लोग बाहर निकल गए थे...लेकिन यहां लाखों रुपये के सामान के नुकसान की आशंका ज़रूर जताई जा रही है। वहीं यहां लोग दमकल कर्मियों से भी काफी खफा नज़र आए.. बताया जा रहा है कि मौके पर पहुंची दमकल की करीब 30 गाड़ियों पर लोगों ने पथराव कर दिया...इतना ही नहीं दमकल की गाड़ियों में भी तोड़फोड़ की गई...हालांकि बाद में लोगों को समझा बुझाकर शांत करवाया और कड़ी मशक्कत के बाद अब आग पर काबू पा लिया गया है...फिलहाल आग लगने की वज़हों का खुलासा नहीं हो पाया है।
एंकर- तो देश की राजधानी दिल्ली में आग ने तांडव मचाया और करीब 800 झुग्गियों को अपनी चपेट में ले लिया..फिलहाल आग लगने के कारणों की जांच की जा रही है
