JAMMU: An impressive ‘Shoba Yatra’ was taken out on the eve of Krishan Janmashtami today by Dharmarth Trust in collaboration with Sanatan Dharam Sabha (SDS), Jammu and other religious and social organizations.

The Shoba Yatra which started from Raghu Nath Ji Temple here after passing through various markets culminated at in the Temple premises later. Earlier, before the start of Shoba Yatra the Pooja of Jhankis was performed by Sanatan Dharam Sabha at Geeta Bhawan which was followed by pooja of Shoba Murti and Swaran Rath at Raghunath Temple by the Trustees of J&K Dharmarth Trust at a grand function..

    JAMMU: The Sikh community members took out an impressive `Nagar- Kirtan’ in connection with the 351st Parkash Purav of Guru Gobind Singhji in the city of temples here today.

    A large number of Sikh community members from various parts of Jammu city and other parts of district Jammu assembled at Gurdwara, Guru Nanak Devji at Lower Gumat (Chand Nagar) in the morning and started Nagar Kirtan/ Shobha Yatra. A highly decorated chariot was created by using an open vehicle where the holy Guru Granth Sahib was placed. It was fitted with loud speakers and several religious personalities of the Sikh community were leading the grand Shobha Yatra and chanting Gurvani Path.
