    Mumbai: The residents of the Campa Cola Compound in south Mumbai were relieved after the Supreme Court on Wednesday stayed its order to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to demolish illegal flats at the housing society. Residents were seen cheering and hugging each other as soon as the news of the stay order came in. A resident told a TV channel that she will celebrate the day like Diwali. The SC gave the residents seven months to vacate the illegal flats in the compound as there was no relocation plan in place.

Even as the apex court took suo moto cognizance of the matter and passed an order staying the demolition till May 31, 2014 giving seven more months to the Campa Cola society residents to vacate the flats, questions have also been raised over the conduct of the occupants.

    Not everybody is convinced that the residents of the Campa Cola society were unaware of the illegality. The BMC had issued its first stop work notice in 1984 after the developers built beyond the permitted limit of five floors. Another stop work notice was subsequently issued in 1986.

    Reliance Chairman मुकेश अंबानी एक के बाद एक नए सेक्टर में एंट्री मारते जा रहे हैं. इसी क्रम में Campa Cola के साथ उन्होंने कोला बाजार में कदम रखा है. उन्होंने 70 के दशक में टॉप पर रहने वाले कैंपा कोला ब्रांड को चुना और प्योर ड्रिंक ग्रुप के साथ करीब 22 करोड़ रुपये में डील करके इसे अपना बनाया है. आखिरकार 70 के दशक के सबसे बड़े कोला ब्रांड कैंपा कोला (Campa Cola) की भारतीय बाजारों में वापसी हो गई है. इस देशी ब्रांड को मुकेश अंबानी (Mukesh Ambani ) के नेतृत्व वाले रिलायंस ग्रुप (Reliance Group) ने खरीदकर इसे तीन फ्लेवर में लॉन्च कर दिया है. इस सेक्टर में पहले से बाजार में अपनी धमक जमाए पेप्सी, कोका कोला और स्प्राइट समेत अन्य सॉफ्ट ड्रिंक को कैंपा कोला से कड़ी टक्कर मिल सकती है.
